The next section of the narra- <br />tive will discuss project costs which will be absorbed <br />locally. <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />PERSONNEL <br /> <br />1> <br /> <br />Lifelonq Learninq Proiect Coordinator <br /> <br />20 hrs/wk for S2 weeks at $8.46/hr. <br />Standard city benefits at 22% of wages <br />TOTAL <br /> <br />$ 8,798.00 <br />$ 1,936.00 <br />$ 10,734.00 <br /> <br />Justifioation: The Project Coordinator is needed <br />to train and recruit volunteer tutors, recruit <br />students and match them with tutors, develop the <br />social services directory, conduct the social <br />services fair, publicize and schedule the story time <br />program, etc. The salary is consistent with that <br />of other staff members doing comparable work. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Storvtime Presenter <br /> <br />20 sessions at $30.00 per session <br /> <br />$ <br /> <br />600.00 <br /> <br />Justification: The Story time Presenter will be <br />contracted to conduct story time programs outside of <br />the library. We estimate that each session will <br />take approximately three hours to prepare and <br />present. While $10.00 per hour is higher than that <br />of some of our other professional employees, we <br />feel that it is justified since this employee will <br />not be receiving any benefits. <br /> <br />TOTAL COST OF PERSONNEL <br /> <br />$ 11,334.00 <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />EQUIPMENT AND fURNISHINGS <br /> <br />1> <br /> <br />Display shelvinq unit <br /> <br />;;I <br /> <br />2,100.00 <br /> <br />Supplier: Allen's Cabinet Shop <br />Justification: The shelving unit is needed to <br />house and display new materials for the Lifelong <br />Learning Collection. The existing shelves are <br />already too crowded to effectively display the <br />collection. A special display area will also be <br />needed for the social services brochures that will <br />be distributed through the project. <br />
