<br />Mayor Craddock called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
<br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of the minutes
<br />of the Regular Meeting of the City Council held May 29, 1984. Hr.
<br />Guerra moved for approval and Mr. Coddington seconded the motion,
<br />which passed unanimously.
<br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of the minutes
<br />of the Emergency Meeting held June 6, 1984. Ms. Kissler moved to
<br />approve the minutes and Mr. Coddington seconded the motion. On roll
<br />call the following vote was recorded:
<br /> AYE: Coddington, Farr, Craddock, Kissler.
<br /> NAY: None.
<br /> ABSTAIN: Brown, Guerra.
<br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of the minutes
<br />of the Special Meeting held June 7, 1984. Mr. Farr moved for approval
<br />of the minutes and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unani-
<br />mously.
<br />Mayor Craddock opened a public hearing to consider approval of an
<br />Ordinance on first reading amending Appendix A - General Zoning Ordin-
<br />ance - of the Code of Ordinances. Mayor Craddock asked if anyone
<br />wished to speak in favor of the amendments. Bill Nicola, Chairman
<br />of the Zoning conunission, stated he had no official report to make
<br />to the Council and public, but that he was available to answer any
<br />questions anyone might have, along with Bill Thomas of the Planning
<br />Department. No one wished to speak in favor of the amendments, so
<br />Mayor Craddock asked if anyone wished to speak in opposition. Randy
<br />Livingston, an attorney representing Dan Sanders, an owner of ten
<br />lots zoned mul t.i-family in the Cherry Street-Chestnut area, opposed
<br />the zoning ordinance amendments. He objects to the Ordinance and ob-
<br />jects to the downgrading of his client's property, and specifically
<br />Page 1078a(b) creating new districts including in such list, M-F 1
<br />through 5, and Page 1086.4 objects to 24 units. City Attorney Hankins
