(I point) <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />If containing residential uses, at least 20 percent <br />of the dwelling units are planned to provide <br />accessible, decent, and affordable housing for low <br />and moderate income families, or for the elderly. (2 <br />points) <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />If containing residential uses, but no public park <br />is proposed, the PDD developer will make available <br />to all residents common open space developed as <br />recreation and/or leisure oriented improvements such <br />as swimming pool, tennis courts, children's <br />playground, etc. (3 points) <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />Usable open space in the form of landscaped plazas <br />or recreational facilities are provided either at <br />ground level over portions of buildings which are <br />primarily underground, or on the rooftop level of <br />any building. (2 points) <br /> <br />If containing nonresidential uses, the PDD will have <br />ground level plazas or sidewalks providing <br />substantial landscaping and pedestrian amenities <br />(benches, public telephones, water fountains, trash <br />receptacles, information kiosks, etc.) beyond the <br />minimum requirements. (2 points) <br /> <br />If containing any major or minor arterial street <br />within its boundaries, the PDD developer will <br />provide a grade separation for pedestrian crossing <br />of such streets at least every 1/4-mile along its <br />length within the PDD. (3 points) <br /> <br />Construction of paved pedestrian paths is proposed <br />beyond the standard minimum requirements for <br />sidewalks, and all sidewalks or other paths in the <br />PDD will be constructed with ramped curb cuts at all <br />street or alley intersections where raised curbs are <br />used. (2 points) <br /> <br />Separate bicycle paths are provided in the PDD <br />leading to all schools, parks, playgrounds, or <br />places of employment within or adjacent to the PDD, <br />and/or parking facilities designed specifically for <br />bicycles will be provided for each multifamily or <br />nonresidential building and constructed to <br />accommodate a number of bicycles equaling at least <br />1/2 the respective off-street parking space <br />requirement for motor vehicles. (3 points) <br /> <br />If containing residential uses, covered parking <br />facilities (carport or garage) for motor vehicles <br />will be provided in a total number equaling at <br />least 1/2 the respective off-street parking space <br />requirements for all dwelling units. (1 point) <br /> <br />At least 50 percent of the total area of all <br />uncovered multifamily and nonresidential parking <br />lots will be constructed with paving materials <br />which are at least 40 percent pervious. (2 points) <br /> <br />Vehicular access to all lots in the PDD is solely <br />from non-major arterial streets, and/or from a <br />frontage road or service road having direct access <br />to a major arterial street. (3 points) <br /> <br />All parking areas containing 10 or more spaces for <br />vehicles other than those for sale or rent are to be <br />buffered from adjacent streets by visual barriers <br />consisting of fences, walls, earth berms, or dense <br />vegetation at least 5 feet in height and at least <br />75% opaque except for openings to accommodate <br />
