(c) Representatives of key constituency groups will serve 1 year terms, so that new <br />representatives are able to participate over time. The representatives shall be approved by <br />City Council and shall consist of community members with expertise in children, youth and <br />family issues, which may include public safety, medical /health or nonprofit experience related to <br />the desired outcomes of the Youth Master Plan. <br />(d) The city council shall confirm the appointment of individuals nominated to serve as <br />representatives on the commission. <br />(e) The commission may appoint teams or committees comprised of citizens or groups <br />that are not members of the commission to work on projects or implement the recommended <br />strategies of the Youth Master Plan. <br />See. 2.077. Duties; meetings; reports. <br />(a) The commission shall have the following duties and functions: <br />1. Mobilize the partner organizations and the community to achieve the goals and <br />implement the strategies set forth in the Youth Master Plan. <br />2. Periodically review progress toward meeting the goals of the Youth Master Plan. <br />3. Develop a process to recommend additional goals or refine existing goals. <br />4. Ensure that data for the Youth Master Plan priority indicators is collected on an <br />annual basis and presented for city council, school board, and public review. <br />5. Provide oversight so that partners and community members take action on the plan, <br />by working through and with their organizations and constituencies to shape policies <br />and secure and leverage resources to improve child and youth wellbeing and <br />success. <br />(b) The commission shall meet monthly. <br />(c) The commission may make recommendations at any time but shall deliver at least one <br />annual report to the governing bodies and directors of the partners. <br />SECTION 2. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance is <br />held to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions of <br />this ordinance will continue in force if they can be given effect without the invalid portion. <br />SECTION 3. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions in <br />conflict with this ordinance are repealed. <br />SECTION 4. This Ordinance will take effect after its adoption on second reading. <br />2 <br />
