<br /> 35 <br /> Regular Meeting July 23, 1984 Page 2 <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of five ap- <br /> pointments to the Sunset Advisory Commission. Mayor Craddock moved <br /> to appoint Ana Puente, Corina Jaimes and Diane Parkin-Spear and Ms. <br /> Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Council <br /> will consider two more appointments to this Commission at the <br /> August 13, 1984 Council Meeting. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of five appoint- <br /> ments to the Charter Review Commission. Mayor Craddock moved to ap- <br /> point Jack Lindstrom, Bill Stouffer, Dan Farlow, Luciano Flores and <br /> Tess Norris and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unani- <br /> mously. <br /> A presentation was made by the Police Department of the summer uni- <br /> form for the Park Patrol. Mr. Bevilacqua modeled before the Council <br /> navy bermuda length shorts, a light blue, short-sleeved knit shirt <br /> and navy baseball cap. The Park Patrol will all wear the same jog- <br /> ging shoes, which will be purchased at their own expense. The uniform <br /> cost is approximately $35.00. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br /> on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING APPENDIX F, INTERIM DRAINAGE <br /> AND EROSION CONTROL ORDINANCE, OF THE CODE OF ORDIN- <br /> ANCES OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, TO DELETE <br /> SECTION 5, AND TO RENUMBER SECTIONS 6 THROUGH 18, <br /> AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mr. Guerra moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and <br /> Mr. Coddington seconded the motion. Mayor Craddock then moved to <br /> amend the Ordinance as follows (at the suggestion of City Attorney <br /> Hankins), and Mr. Coddington seconded the motion, said amendments <br /> "Which "Were read into the record. The amended caption as follows: <br /> "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING APPENDIX F, INTEPIM DRAINAGE <br /> AND EROSION CONTROL ORDINANCE, OF THE CODE OF ORDIN- <br /> ANCES OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, TO DELETE SEC- <br /> TION 5, TO RENUMBER SECTIONS 6 THROUGH 18, TO DELETE <br /> THE REFERENCE TO SECTION 5 FOUND IN SECTION 4(F), AND <br /> DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. II [Emphasis Supplied] <br /> The amended Section 3: <br /> "That Section 4 (f) of Appendix F, Interim Drainage and <br /> Erosion Control Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of <br /> the City of San Marcos, Texas be amended to delete the <br /> last SlX (6) words of the second sentence of said Sec- <br /> tion 4 (f) I said words being 'except in accordance with <br /> Section 5.111 [Emphasis Supplied] <br /> The Council voted unanimously for approval of the amendments. The <br /> Council then voted unanimously for approval of the Ordinance on first <br /> reading. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br /> on first reading. The Ordinance had been amended shortly prior to <br /> the meeting so it was read in its entirety, the caption which reads <br /> as follows: <br />
