35 Regular Meeting July 23, 1984 Page 2 Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of five ap- pointments to the Sunset Advisory Commission. Mayor Craddock moved to appoint Ana Puente, Corina Jaimes and Diane Parkin-Spear and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Council will consider two more appointments to this Commission at the August 13, 1984 Council Meeting. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of five appoint- ments to the Charter Review Commission. Mayor Craddock moved to ap- point Jack Lindstrom, Bill Stouffer, Dan Farlow, Luciano Flores and Tess Norris and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unani- mously. A presentation was made by the Police Department of the summer uni- form for the Park Patrol. Mr. Bevilacqua modeled before the Council navy bermuda length shorts, a light blue, short-sleeved knit shirt and navy baseball cap. The Park Patrol will all wear the same jog- ging shoes, which will be purchased at their own expense. The uniform cost is approximately $35.00. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING APPENDIX F, INTERIM DRAINAGE AND EROSION CONTROL ORDINANCE, OF THE CODE OF ORDIN- ANCES OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, TO DELETE SECTION 5, AND TO RENUMBER SECTIONS 6 THROUGH 18, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Guerra moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Coddington seconded the motion. Mayor Craddock then moved to amend the Ordinance as follows (at the suggestion of City Attorney Hankins), and Mr. Coddington seconded the motion, said amendments "Which "Were read into the record. The amended caption as follows: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING APPENDIX F, INTEPIM DRAINAGE AND EROSION CONTROL ORDINANCE, OF THE CODE OF ORDIN- ANCES OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, TO DELETE SEC- TION 5, TO RENUMBER SECTIONS 6 THROUGH 18, TO DELETE THE REFERENCE TO SECTION 5 FOUND IN SECTION 4(F), AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. II [Emphasis Supplied] The amended Section 3: "That Section 4 (f) of Appendix F, Interim Drainage and Erosion Control Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos, Texas be amended to delete the last SlX (6) words of the second sentence of said Sec- tion 4 (f) I said words being 'except in accordance with Section 5.111 [Emphasis Supplied] The Council voted unanimously for approval of the amendments.
