<br />Section 7. Persons Qualified to Vote. <br /> <br />All resident qualified electors of said City shall be permitted to vote in said election. <br /> <br />Section 8. Bilingual Election Materials. <br /> <br />The election materials enumerated in Secs. 272.00 I, et seq., V.T .C.A. Election Code, shall be printed <br />and furnished in both English and Spanish for use at the polling place on election day and for early voting. <br /> <br />Section 9. Notice of Election; Notice of Early Voting Schedule. <br /> <br />(a) Notice of said election shall be given by posting substantial copies of this Ordinance <br />in both English and Spanish on the bulletin board in the City Hall of said City used for posting notices of <br />meetings of the City Council of said City, on the bulletin board in the Hays County Courthouse used for <br />posting notices of meetings of the Commissioners Court, and at three (3) other places in said City not later <br />than the 21 st day before election day; and substantial copies of this Ordinance in both English and Spanish <br />shall be published on the same day in each of two (2) successive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation <br />in said City, the date of the fIrst publication to be not more than thirty (30) or less than fourteen (14) days <br />prior to the date set for said election. <br /> <br />(b) Such notice, as posted and published, shall include and constitute a schedule stating <br />(i) the location of each temporary branch early voting polling place for said election, the election precincts <br />served by each branch polling place and the dates and hours that temporary branch voting will be conducted <br />and (ii) the locations, dates and hours for any extended time for early voting by personal appearance. <br /> <br />Section 10. Joint Election. Said election shall be conducted as a joint election, including early <br />voting, with Hays County (the "County") pursuant to an agreement between the Commissioners Court ofthe <br />County and the City Council of the City, to be administered by the Hays County Elections Administrator <br />pursuant to a contract for election services between the City and said officer. <br /> <br />[Execution page follows] <br /> <br />5 <br />
