<br />SAN MARCOS ELECTRIC UTILITY <br /> <br />ELECTRIC TARIFF <br /> <br />ISSUED BY: <br /> <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS <br /> <br />SHEET NO. <br /> <br />EFFECTIVE DATE: <br /> <br />10/1/88 <br /> <br />REVISION NO. <br /> <br />DEPOSITS <br />RATE SCHEDULE - DEPOSITS <br /> <br />AMOUNT OF DEPOSIT (continued) <br /> <br />The City may require a deposit sufficient to reasonably protect <br />against the assumed risk of temporary, weekend, or personal <br />service, provided such policy is applied in a uniform and <br />nondiscriminatory manner. <br /> <br />These deposits shall be returned according to guidelines set out in <br />REFUND OF DEPOSIT below. <br /> <br />DEPOSITS NOT TRANSFERRABLE <br /> <br />Deposits are non-transferrable and will be refunded and/or <br />applied to the final bill upon disconnection of service. <br /> <br />RECORDS OF DEPOSITS <br /> <br />The City shall keep records to show: <br /> <br />(1) <br />(2) <br /> <br />The name and address of each depositor; and <br /> <br />The amount and date of the deposits. <br /> <br />The City shall issue a receipt of deposit to each applicant from <br />whom a deposit is received, and shall provide means whereby a <br />depositor may establish claim if the receipt is lost. <br /> <br />A record of each unclaimed deposit must be maintained for at <br />least four years, during which time the City shall make a <br />reasonable effort to return the deposit. <br /> <br />9/6/88 <br /> <br />- 33 - <br />
