<br />-8- <br /> <br />PART 8. That compensation for Special Assignment Services as <br />provided by Article II, Divisions4 and 5, and Article III, Divisions 2 <br />and 3, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos shall be <br />paid retroactively to October 1, 1988, according to the terms and <br />conditions of said articles and divisions. <br /> <br />PART 9. If any provision, section, sentence, clause or phrase of <br />this ordinance, or its application to any person or set of <br />circumstances is for any reason held to be unconstitutional, void or <br />invalid, or for any reason unenforceable, the validity of the <br />remaining portions of this ordinance or its application to other <br />persons or sets of circumstances shall not be affected thereby, it <br />being the intent of the city council of the City of San Marcos in <br />adopting this ordinance that no portion of it or provision or <br />regulation contained in it shall become inoperative or fail by reason <br />of any unconstitutionality or invalidity of any other portion, <br />provision or regulation. <br /> <br />PART 10.
