<br />MARCOS, TEXAS, N1ENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH
<br />REGU LATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUI LDINGS,
<br />STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13, 1984 (VOL. 66) BY
<br />ZONING 4.68 ACRES OF LAND, MORE OR LESS OUT OF THE J.M.
<br />VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO.1, CITY OF SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY,
<br />TEXAS, BEING ALL OF THAT REAL PROPERTY CONVEYED TO H.
<br />GARLAND STOKES AND HERBERT A. YARBROUGH, JR. BY THE FROST

<br />OF RECORD IN VOLUME 46, PAGE 448, HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS;
<br />LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE 300 BLOCK OF SOUTH
<br />GUADALUPE STREET FROM "c" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT) TO "u"
<br />(LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT); AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE
<br />DATE.

<br />WHEREAS, on October 21,1986, the Zoning Commission of the City of
<br />San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change
<br />the zoning from "c" (Commercial District) to "u" (Light Industrial
<br />District) of 4.68 acres of land, more or less out of the J.M.
<br />Veramendi League No.1, San Marcos, Hays County, Texas; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, subsequent to said public hearing on said date, said
<br />Commission did, on October 21,1986, consider said request
<br />and voted to approve the same and has recommended that such request
<br />be approved by the City Council of said City; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said City Council held a public hearing on the
<br />of February, 1987, regarding such request; and,
<br />

<br />WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning
<br />Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos
<br />pertaining to amendments have been met; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said City Council hereby finds and determines that the
<br />adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the public
<br />health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore,
<br />
