Womack <br /> City Attorney Lamar W. Hankins <br /> Acting Director of Finance Wayne Moore <br /> Director of Planning Frank Robbins <br /> Also Present: Mark Hendricks, Lee Swift, Ofelia Vasquez, Jerri Martin, <br /> Daniel Brown, Ray Longoria, Lupe Picassio, Jake Krauskopf, Anita Reyes, <br /> Lisa Dvorak and others. <br /> Mayor Craddock called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br /> Mayor Craèdock introduced for consideration approval of an appointment <br /> of Chairman for the local United Nations Day Program (October 24, 1984). <br /> Mr. Farr moved to appoint Bill Nicola and Ms. Kissler seconded the mo- <br /> tion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: <br /> AYE: Farr, Craddock, Guerra, Kissler. <br /> NAY: Coddington. <br /> ABSTAIN: None. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced a discussion by the San Marcos Area Food Bank <br /> representative of what their program is and request of $10,000 for pur- <br /> chase of a van to collect and distribute food. Ofelia Vasquez addressed <br /> the Council and stated the program was to assist in feeding the needy <br /> persons of San Marcos. She stated the Food Bank was presently using <br /> a truck donated by Jim Byrn. The Food Bank is in need of a van to make <br /> daily runs to pick up food. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br /> on second reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 23-1 OF ARTICLE I OF <br /> CHAPTER 23 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY AND <br /> ADDING A SECTION 23-3 TO SAID ARTICLE OF SAID CHAPTER <br /> OF SAID CODE TO DESIGNATE THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE <br /> PLACEMENT OF NOTICES ON UTILITY POLES AND ESTABLISH- <br /> ING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS AND DECLARING AN EFFECT- <br /> IVE DATE. <br /> Mayor Craddock moved for approval of the Ordinance on second reading <br /> and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, <br /> the caption which was read as follows: <br /> * Messrs. Brown and Moore were not present at this meeting. <br />
