<br />59 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Special Meeting October 15, 1984 Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF <br />A PROPOSED INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN SAID CITY AND <br />THE SAN MARCOS CONSOLIDATED INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT <br />FOR SAID SCHOOL DISTRICT'S PURCHASE OF A RESERVATION <br />FROM PACKAGE PLANT WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITIES OF <br />40 LUE'S TO BE UTILIZED BY SAID SCHOOL DISTRICT IN THE <br />EXPANSION AND DEVELOPMENT OF ADDITIONAL SCHOOL BUILD- <br />INGS; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT <br />ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Kissler seconded <br />the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF <br />A PROPOSED INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AND HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS FOR SAID <br />COUNTY'S PURCHASE OF A RESERVATION FROM PACKAGE PLANT <br />WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITIES OF 125 LUE'S TO BE <br />UTILIZED BY SAID COUNTY IN THE EXPANSION OF THE HAYS <br />COUNTY JAIL AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE HAYS COUNTY MEMOR- <br />IAL HOSPITAL TRACT; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE <br />SAID AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Ms. Kissler moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Guerra se- <br />conded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval to award the con- <br />struction bid for the Package Wastewater Treatment Plant. Mayor Craddock <br />moved to award bid to Lambco, Inc. of Houston, Texas for the construc- <br />tion of two package plants in the amount of $273,500.00 and Mr. Guerra <br />seconded the motion. Ray Longoria of Freese and Nichols advised the <br />Council this was their recommendation. Don Lambert of Lambco, Inc. <br />advised the Council of his experience of building treatment plants. <br />The Council voted unanimously for award of the bid to Lambco, Inc. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR TWO PACKAGE <br />PLANT WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITIES AND A CONTRACT <br />FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID FACILITIES; AUTHORIZING <br />THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID RESOLUTION ON BEHALF OF SAID <br />CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Kissler second- <br />ed the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval to award the bid <br />for the Wastewater Treatment Plant improvements. Mayor Craddock moved <br />to award the bid to Carrothers Construction Company of Paola, Kansas <br />for the construction of the treatment plant only, in the amount of <br />$3,519,125.00 and Mr. Farr seconded the motion. Ray Longoria of <br />Freese and Nichols advised the Council this was their recommendation <br />
