<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br />MARCOS, TEXAS, ~1ENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH
<br />REGU LATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUI LDINGS,
<br />STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13, 1984 (VOL. 66) BY
<br />ZONING .907 ACRES OF LAND IN THE J.M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE,
<br />SAID .907 ACRES BEING A PART OF FARM LOT 10, AS SHOWN
<br />ON THE ORIGINAL TOWN MAP OF SAN MARCOS, AS RECORDED IN
<br />VOLUME 46, PAGE 448, OF THE DEED RECORDS OF HAYS COUNTY,
<br />TEXAS; LOCATED ON THE NORTHWEST SIDE OF THE 1200 BLOCK OF
<br />PORTER STREET FROM "R-l" (SINGLE FAMI LY DWELLING DISTRICT-
<br />Lmv DENSITY) TO "MF-l" (MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT-LOW
<br />DENSITY); AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

<br />WHEREAS, on November 4, 1986, the Zoning Commission of the City
<br />of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change
<br />the zoning from "R-l" (Single Family Dwelling District-Low
<br />Density) to "MF-l" (Multi-family District-Low Density) of .907
<br />acres of land in the J.M. Veramendi League, said .907 acres being a
<br />part of Farm Lot 10, San Marcos, Hays County, Texas; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, subsequent to said public hearing on said date, said
<br />Commission did, on November 4, 1986, consider said request
<br />and voted to approve the same and has recommended that such request
<br />be approved by the City Council of said City; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said City Council held a public hearing on the
<br />of February, 1981, regarding such request; and,
<br />

<br />WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning
<br />Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos
<br />pertaining to amendments have been met; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said City Council hereby finds and determines that the
<br />adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the public
<br />health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore,
<br />

<br />SECTION 1. That the following described tract of real property
<br />located in San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is presently
<br />"R-l" (Single Family Dwelling District-Low Density) be rezoned "MF-l"
<br />(Multi-Family District-Low Density):
<br />
<br />Field notes describing .907 acres of land in the J.M. Veramendi
<br />League, said .907 acres being a part of Farm Lot 10, as shown on
<br />the Original Town Map of San Marcos, as recorded in Volume 46,
<br />Page 448, of the Deed Records of Hays County, Texas, and being
<br />more particularly described as follows:

<br />Commencing at a point that is the intersection of the Southwest
<br />line of the aforementioned Farm Lot 10 and the Northwest line of
<br />Porter Street;
<br />
<br />Thence, N 44 degrees -42'-29" E, along the Northwest line
<br />of Porter Street, a distance of 76.00' to an iron pin, said
<br />iron pin is the South corner of the herein described
<br />property and is the beginning point of this description;
<br />
<br />Thence, departing the Northwest line of Porter Street, N
<br />45 degrees -00'-00" W, a distance of 100.04' to an iron pin;
<br />
<br />Thence, S 45 degrees -00'-00" W, a distance of
<br />iron pin;

<br />distance of 105.72' to an iron pin, said iron pin is that common
<br />rear corner of that tract of land described in Volume 151,
<br />Page 57, and Volume 154, Page 391, of the Hays County
<br />Deed Records;
