.....0 N 71 ORDINANCE 1987- 36 AN ORDINANCE OF THE MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING AND GAS OF THE SAN REPEALING ARTICLE II INCLUDING THE 1985 AMENDMENTS TO IT AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN CHAPTER 20, ENTITLED, PLUMBING MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY AND ADOPTING NEW ARTICLE II STANDARD PLUMBING CODE AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Article II of Chapter 20 of the San Marcos Code of Ordinances is repealed. SECTION 2. That new Article II of Chapter 20 of Code of Ordinances is adopted to read as follows: the San Marcos ARTI C LE I I . PLUMBING PERTAINING TO WATER & SEWER SYSTEMS Sec. 20-1. Plumbing Code Adopted. The Standard Plumbing Code published in 1985 by the Southern Building Code Congress International, Inc. 900 Montclair Road Birmingham, Alabama 35213-1206 as amended in this article shall regulate installation, alterations, repairs, and replacement of plumbing in the City and its extraterritorial jurisdiction. A copy of the Code is filed in the Office of the City Secretary. Sec. 20-2. Amendments To Standard Plumbing Code. (a) Section 101.3.3 of the Standard Plumbing edition, is amended to read as follows: Code, 1985 Section 101.3.3 Apendices. a. Apendices A through K are hereby specifically with the following changes or exceptions. adopted 1. Section AlOl.4 Plumbing Department is deleted. 2. Section A105.4.l is substituted for it: de Ie ted and the following Section Al05.4.l Makeup of the Board. There is hereby established a Plumbing Board of Adjustments and Appeals which shall be composed of two members of the plumbing industry who hold Masters Plumbing Licenses, two members from the building industry and one other member. All members of the board shall reside within or have property which is used to conduct business within the City. 3. Section A107 Violations and Penalties is deleted and the following substituted for it: Section A107 Violations and Penalties. Any person, firm, corporation or agent who shall violate a provision of this Code or fail to comply with it or any óf its regulations shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Each person, firm, corporation or agent shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day or part of a day during which a violation of this Code is committed or continued. Upon conviction of a violation of this Code the defendant shall be punished by a fine of $200-$1,000. Prosecution or conviction under this provision shall never be a bar to any other remedy or relief for violation of this Code 4. In addition to the fees noted in Appendix H, the following fees shall be paid: For each lawn sprinkler system $10.00
