<br /> <br />.....0 <br />N <br /> <br /> <br />71 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 1987- 36 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING <br />AND GAS OF THE SAN <br />REPEALING ARTICLE II <br />INCLUDING THE 1985 <br />AMENDMENTS TO IT AND <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />CHAPTER 20, ENTITLED, PLUMBING <br />MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY <br />AND ADOPTING NEW ARTICLE II <br />STANDARD PLUMBING CODE AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> <br />SAN <br /> <br />MARCOS, <br /> <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That Article II of Chapter 20 of the San Marcos Code <br />of Ordinances is repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That new Article II of Chapter 20 of <br />Code of Ordinances is adopted to read as follows: <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />San <br /> <br />Marcos <br /> <br />ARTI C LE I I . <br />PLUMBING PERTAINING TO WATER & SEWER <br />SYSTEMS <br /> <br />Sec. 20-1. <br /> <br />Plumbing Code Adopted. <br /> <br />The Standard Plumbing Code published in 1985 by the Southern <br />Building Code Congress International, Inc. 900 Montclair Road <br />Birmingham, Alabama 35213-1206 as amended in this article shall <br />regulate installation, alterations, repairs, and replacement of <br />plumbing in the City and its extraterritorial jurisdiction. A <br />copy of the Code is filed in the Office of the City Secretary. <br /> <br />Sec. 20-2. <br /> <br />Amendments To Standard Plumbing Code. <br /> <br />(a) Section 101.3.3 of the Standard Plumbing <br />edition, is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Code, <br /> <br />1985 <br /> <br />Section 101.3.3 Apendices. <br /> <br />a. <br /> <br />Apendices A through K are hereby specifically <br />with the following changes or exceptions. <br /> <br />adopted <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Section AlOl.4 Plumbing Department is deleted. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Section A105.4.l is <br />substituted for it: <br /> <br />de Ie ted <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />following <br /> <br />Section Al05.4.l <br /> <br />Makeup of the Board. <br /> <br />There is hereby established a Plumbing Board of <br />Adjustments and Appeals which shall be composed <br />of two members of the plumbing industry who hold <br />Masters Plumbing Licenses, two members from the <br />building industry and one other member. All members <br />of the board shall reside within or have property <br />which is used to conduct business within the City. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Section A107 Violations and Penalties is deleted and <br />the following substituted for it: <br /> <br />Section A107 Violations and Penalties. <br /> <br />Any person, firm, corporation or agent who shall <br />violate a provision of this Code or fail to comply <br />with it or any óf its regulations shall be guilty of <br />a misdemeanor. Each person, firm, corporation or <br />agent shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense <br />for each and every day or part of a day during which <br />a violation of this Code is committed or continued. <br />Upon conviction of a violation of this Code the <br />defendant shall be punished by a fine of <br />$200-$1,000. Prosecution or conviction under this <br />provision shall never be a bar to any other remedy <br />or relief for violation of this Code <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />In addition to the fees noted in Appendix H, the <br />following fees shall be paid: <br /> <br />For <br /> <br />each <br /> <br />lawn <br /> <br />sprinkler <br /> <br />system <br /> <br />$10.00 <br />
