<br />For <br /> <br />each <br /> <br />fire <br /> <br />sprinkler <br /> <br />system <br /> <br />$20.00 <br /> <br />Reinspection of any work <br /> <br />$10.00 <br /> <br />Inspection and certification by a registered <br />professional engineer of sewer line installed <br />within the recharge zone of the Edwards <br />Underground Reservoir $30.00 <br /> <br />-Note: Replacement of sewer, water or drain lines <br />shall be treated as new installations for purposes <br />of inspection and fee requirements. <br /> <br />(b) section lOl.4-PLUMBING DEPARTMENT is deleted. <br /> <br />(c) new <br /> <br />section <br /> <br />101.4 <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />added <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />read <br /> <br />as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 101.4 <br /> <br />Plumbing <br /> <br />Official. <br /> <br />There is hereby established a plumbing official who <br />shall be the Chief Building Official in the Building <br />Inspections Department. <br /> <br />(d) section 103.1 is added to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 103.1 <br /> <br />Licensing and bonding of persons installing <br />plumbing. <br /> <br />(a) all persons performing plumbing work or contracting <br />to perform plumbing work shall be master plumbers licensed <br />as required by the Texas Plumbing License Law of 1947. <br /> <br />(b) a person who desires a permit for plumbing work <br />shall furnish a bond in the amount of $5000 to <br />protect the City from liability that might accrue .because <br />of injury to the public to guarantee compliance with <br />City codes and regulations and to protect City property <br />from his or her work. <br /> <br />(c) a homeowner may install or maintain plumbing on his <br />or her own residential homestead property without a <br />license, but he or she must obtain a permit, pay fees <br />and act in compliance with all other provisions of this <br />code except as provided in Al03.l.3. <br /> <br />(d) Section 105 is <br />105.1 as follows: <br /> <br />amended by <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />addition of <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />Section 105.1 Clarification. <br /> <br />All references in this Code to the Board of <br />Adjustments shall be construed as a reference to the <br />the Plumbing Board of Adjustments and Appeals. <br /> <br />(e) Section 107 is added to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 107 Liability. <br /> <br />This Code shall not be construed so as to relieve or <br />lessen the liability of any corporation, partnership, <br />association, individual, or agent performing any <br />plumbing work. Nor shall the City of San Marcos be <br />held as assuming any liability by reasons of <br />inspections, certifications, licensure or permit <br />issuance done pursuant to the provisions of this Code. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) days <br />from and after its passage, and it shall be published in a newspaper of <br />general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the City <br />of San Marcos, Texas. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading <br /> <br />February 2, 1987. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on second reading February 9, 1987. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED <br /> <br />February 23, 1987. <br />
