Vacancies. <br /> A special election to fill a vacancy shall be called in accordance <br /> with the Texas Election Code. No such election shall be held <br /> sooner than thirty (30) days from the date it is called. <br /> Item 12: Amend Section 6.07 of the City Charter of the City of San <br /> Marcos, Texas, to provide that recall peti tions must be <br /> signed by at least ten per cent (10%) of the qualified voters <br /> of the City of San Marcos, as follows: <br /> Sec. 6.07. Fbwer of recall. <br /> The people of the City reserve the power to recall any elected <br /> officer of the City of San Marcos and may exercise such power by filing <br /> with the City Secretary a petition signed by at least ten per cent <br /> (10%) of the qualified voters. The petition shall be signed and <br /> verified in the manner required for an ini tia ti ve peti tion. <br />
