<br />APPENDIX 5 <br /> <br />DESIGNATED EMPLOYEE AND EMPLOYEE BENEFITS <br /> <br />5.1 Designated Employee Transition <br /> <br />In accordance with Article VI of the Service Contract, the Authority shall provide for the transition of the <br />Designated Employee listed in the Attachment to this Appendix. The Designated Employee transition <br />process shall consist of the following: <br /> <br />l. Employee Orientation <br />Within 15 days following the Contract Date, the Authority shall conduct an orientation <br />meeting for the Designated Employee. The meeting shall include, but is not limited to, a <br />presentation about the Authority, the Authority's policies and procedures, the Service <br />Contract and the Authority's goals for the operation of the Water Treatment System. <br /> <br />2. Interview and Career Planning <br />Although the Designated Employee will be offered employment, an individual interview <br />shall be conducted by the Authority. The interview shall afford the Authority and the <br />employee an opportunity to meet and discuss career opportunities available within the <br />Authority and to provide an opportunity for the Designated Employee to ask specific <br />questions that may be pertinent to his situation. <br /> <br />3. Physical and Drug Screening <br />As further provided in the Service Contract, the Designated Employee will be required to <br />successfully complete a pre-employment physical examination and drug screen consistent <br />with the Authority's current hiring protocol. <br /> <br />4. Performance Review and Career Planning Session <br />Approximately 180 days after the Commencement Date, the Authority shall conduct a <br />PIivate performance feedback session with the Designated Employee to discuss his job <br />performance and future career development. <br /> <br />13 <br />
