<br />Employee's training needs against the qualifications and experience requirements ofthe job classification. <br />In addition to training required by Applicable Law and the training required to obtain and retain the <br />licenses required of employees under Section 6.8, the Authority shall provide other training and <br />professional development in accordance with the Authority's policies and procedures, including areas <br />such as: <br /> <br />· Laboratory analysis, including quality control procedures, related to the Water Treatment <br />Facilities; <br /> <br />. Process control, including use of computer and monitoring equipment, response to plant <br />upsets, record keeping and reporting; <br /> <br />. Water Treatment Facilities operations and maintenance, including the computerized <br />maintenance management system; <br /> <br />. Training for the operation and maintenance, and repmr of any applicable Capital <br />Modifications; <br /> <br />. Supervisory training as appropriate and required; <br /> <br />. Safety, including first aid, identification of hazards, proper use or safety equipment, and <br />safety/accident reporting; <br /> <br />. Confined space entry; <br /> <br />. Emergency preparedness and response; and <br /> <br />. Public and community relations. <br /> <br />The Authority shall cross-train employees, as deemed appropriate by the Authority, between <br />areas such as laboratory, operations and maintenance for all services provided by the Authority to the City <br />under the Service Contract. <br /> <br />The Authority shall make a reasonable effort to notify the City in advance of any Authority- <br />sponsored training programs held within the City that may be of benefit to City personnel. The purpose <br />of this notice is to allow City participation in such programs if space is available. The City will pay any <br />expenses related to its participation in such training programs. The AuthOlity shall maintain records of <br />training provided to its employees. <br /> <br />12 <br />
