<br />127. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005- 1 48 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND <br />CONDITIONS OF AN AGREEMENT WITH MARGIE V. MOORE, <br />d/b/a GLOBAL MARKETEER GROUP, FOR ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT SERVICES; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. The City issued a Request for Proposals (the "RFP") for professional economic <br />development services dated May 22,2005, and Margie V. Moore, d/b/a Global Marketeer Group <br />("GMG"), submitted a proposal dated June 22, 2005 in response to the RFP. <br /> <br />2. The City Council considered the three proposals for professional economic development <br />services submitted in response to the RFP (one of which was withdrawn by the proponent), and <br />directed the City staff to draft and negotiate a contract with GMG for the services. <br /> <br />3. The City Council wishes to contract with GMG for professional economic development <br />services in accordance with the provisions of the attached agreement. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The terms and conditions of the attached agreement between the City of San <br />Marcos and Margie V. Moore, d/b/a Global Marketeer Group for economic development services are <br />approved. <br /> <br />PART 2. The City Manager, Dan O'Leary, is authorized to execute this agreement on behalf <br />of the City of San Marcos. <br /> <br />PART 3.
