<br />shipments are ultimately exported to statewide, national or international markets, infusing new <br />dollars into the economy of the City. <br />C. Initial Contact. GMG agrees to function as the City's initial contact for prospective and <br />current employers and businesses in matters related to economic development. <br />D. Office. GMG agrees to maintain an office located within the San Marcos city limits that <br />meets ADA requirements for accessibility and is staffed from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday <br />through Friday, excluding City-recognized holidays. <br />E. Economic Development Director. <br />1. GMG agrees to employ a full-time Economic Development Director to serve as GMG's <br />manager for the performance of services under this Agreement, and to act as principal <br />liaison to the Board, City Council and City staff on economic development matters. <br />2. GMG agrees that the hiring of the Economic Development Director by GMG, and the <br />salary and benefits provided by GMG to the Economic Development Director, will be <br />subj ect to approval by the City Council. GM G also agrees that the City Council will have <br />authority to require GMG to remove the person holding the position of Economic <br />Development Director from that position for any reason deemed sufficient to the Council. <br />In the event of any such removal, GMG shall promptly recommend a replacement for <br />approval by the City Council. <br />3. GMG agrees that the Economic Development Director will provide reports directly to the <br />Board and the City Council, and will cooperate fully with the Board, the City Council <br />and the City staff in all matters related to economic development. <br />F. Program of Services; Performance Measures; Performance Review Plans; Budget. <br />1. GMG will, in consultation with the Board, develop and submit to the City Council the <br />following, no later than October 31, 2005, covering the first two years of this Agreement, <br />for review and approval by the City Council: <br />a. A proposed program of economic development services; <br />b. Proposed performance measures; <br />c. A proposed performance review plan; and <br />d. A proposed budget for each of the first two years of this Agreement. <br />2. F or any one-year extension period for this Agreement after the fIrst two years, GMG will, <br /> <br />Page 2 of8 <br />
