Police Protection <br />Police servIces, mcludmg patrollIng, response to calls and other routme servIces, WIll <br />begm on the effective date of the annexation using eXlstmg personnel and equipment. <br /> <br />2. Fire Protection <br />Fire protectIon servIces, including emergency response calls, WIll begin on the effective <br />date of the annexatIon usmg eXlstmg personnel and eqmpment and wlthm the lImItations <br />of the available water supply <br /> <br />3. Emere:encv Medical Services <br />Emergency medIcal servIces, mcludmg emergency response calls, WIll contmue at the <br />same level of servIce after the annexation. The CIty of San Marcos contracts for <br />emergency medIcal serVIces through the San Marcos - Hays County EMS, which already <br />provides service to the area bemg annexed. <br /> <br />4. Solid Waste Collection <br />Solid waste collectIOn serVIces, proVIded under contract wIth a private company, WIll be <br />made aVailable to all reSIdences on the effectIve date of the annexation. Residents of the <br />annexed area may elect to contmue usmg the serVIces of a pnvate solId waste hauler for a <br />penod of two years after the effectIve date of the annexatIon. Businesses and mstItutIOns <br />must make arrangements wIth private solId waste haulers. <br /> <br />5. Operation and Maintenance of Water and Wastewater Facilities <br />The annexatIOn area IS within the overlappmg serVIce areas of both the CIty of San <br />Marcos and the Crystal Clear Water Supply CorporatIon. As new development occurs <br />withm the annexatIOn area, the City will proVIde water and wastewater servIce to <br />propertIes m accordance wIth the CIty'S development ordmances and utilIty extenSIOn <br />polICIes m place at the tIme of development. Upon completIOn and dedication of the new <br />facIlItIes to the CIty, the CIty shall provide on-gomg mamtenance and operatIOn of those <br />facIlItIes. <br /> <br />6. Operation and Maintenance of Roads and Streets <br />The City wIll assume maintenance of the proposed annexed portIOn of FM 3407 and the <br />proposed annexed portion of Clovis Barker, as indicated on the map proposed annexation <br />map There are no existing roads to serve development wlthm the proposed annexation <br />area. As new development occurs wlthm the annexed area, the developers of property <br />wIll be reqUIred to construct streets m accordance with the CIty'S existing subdivision <br />polIcies. Upon completIOn and dedIcatIOn of new faCIlItIes to the CIty, the CIty shall <br />proVIde on-gomg operatIOn and mamtenance for those facilItIes. <br /> <br />7. Electric Service <br />The property IS located m the servIce area of the Bluebonnet Electnc CooperatIve.
