<br />Chapter 1 Development Procedures - Article 9 Construction Permits <br /> <br />Marshal, and the Police Chief shall have the power to enter at reasonable times, upon <br />any private or public property, for the purpose of inspecting and investigating <br />conditions relating to the enforcement of this article. <br /> <br />(c) Certificate; Inspection Standards. An application for an inspection certificate will be <br />issued in the office of the department. <br /> <br />(1) Mobile home or manufactured home owner inspection fee. The mobile home <br />or manufactured home owner's inspection certificate will be issued for a fee <br />established by the City Council for the initial hookup. A certificate of <br />inspection will be issued provided the mobile home or manufactured home <br />meets the standards and specifications of this article. <br /> <br />(2) Standards for inspection. The inspection shall consist of the following: <br /> <br />a. Gas system. Pressure test all exterior and interior piping with 5# air. <br />Check water heater and central heating vents, check sources of <br />combustion air for heating system. Gas lines shall be buried a <br />minimum of six inches underground from the park supply to the <br />mobile home or manufactured home piping. <br /> <br />b. Electrical system. Check grounding, entrance cord, breaker box. All <br />wiring shall meet requirements of National Electrical Code and City <br />electrical code as amended. <br /> <br />c. Water supply. Hookup shall be made with schedule #40 PVC or <br />equivalent piping. <br /> <br />d. Sewer system. Check mobile home or manufactured home vents. Only <br />rigid pipes shall be used to connect the mobile home or manufactured <br />home to the park sewer. Piping shall be protected against damage. All <br />joints and connections in sewer lines shall be gas and liquid tight. <br /> <br />e. Mobile home or manufactured home stand. The area beneath the <br />mobile home or manufactured home shall be graded so that water will <br />not stand under the mobile home or manufactured home. The stand <br />shall provide a stable area for placing of tiedown anchors and <br />blocking. <br /> <br />f. Storage. The area beneath the mobile home or manufactured home <br />shall not be used to store lumber, gasoline or any flammable materials. <br /> <br />g. Grass. The mobile home or manufactured home owner shall not allow <br />grass and weeds to become a fire or health hazard. <br /> <br />h. Tiedowns. The mobile home or manufactured home shall be tied down <br />as required by state standards and the building code. <br /> <br />1. Blocking.
