<br />, <br /> <br />41 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Chapter 1 Development Procedures - Article 2 Authority of Decision-Makers <br /> <br />(b) Term of Office. The members of the Historic Preservation Commission shall serve <br />three-year staggered terms, with three members being appointed in January of one <br />year, two members appointed in January of the next year, and two members being <br />appointed in January of the following year. An appointment to fill a vacancy shall be <br />for the unexpired term. <br /> <br />(c) Rules. The Historic Preservation Commission shall elect from its membership a chair <br />who shall serve for a term of one year and who shall be eligible for reelection. The <br />chair shall preside over the Historic Preservation Commission and shall have the right <br />to vote. The Historic Preservation Commission shall hold regular monthly meetings at <br />a time and date established by the Commission. <br /> <br />Section 1.2.6.2 Advisory Capacity <br /> <br />The Historic Preservation Commission shall advise the City Council on petitions for historic <br />districts and historic landmarks, including initiation of such petitions, and in such capacity shall <br />review, prepare reports upon and make recommendations concerning approval, conditional <br />approval or denial of such petitions. <br /> <br />Section 1.2.6.3 Authority for Deciding Quasi-Judicial Applications <br /> <br />The Historic Preservation Commission shall be the initial decision-maker for a Certificate of <br />Appropriateness, subject to appeal to the Zoning Board of Adjustments. <br /> <br />Division 7: Other Boards and Commissions <br /> <br />[RESERVED] <br /> <br />City of San Marcos, Texas <br /> <br />1-23 <br /> <br />Land Development Code - Final <br />
