A. Validation of the extent, type and nature of development required to satisfy future aviation demand at San Marcos. B. Preparation of an Airport Master Plan update for appropriate facilities. C. Integration of aviation planning into local, regional and state comprehensive planning, and to establish basic land use guidance for on and off airport developnent. D. Production of the documents in accordance with FM Advisory Circulars 150/5070-6, Airport Master Plans, and 150/5900-lB Planning Grant Program as appropriate. ' B. SCOPE OF SERVICES The Task- Descriptions provided herein below are intended to satisfy the objectives previously stated above. The work will be conducted in full compliance with all applicable criteria, including FM Advisory Circular 150/5070-6, and will be co- ordinated, as joint- ly found appropriate by city and contractor with the Federal' Aviation Administration, the Texas Aeronautics, the Capital Area Planning COUn- cil (CAPCO), the Transportation Task Force of the IH-35 Corridor Council, the Commissioners Court for Hays County, and the city offices of San Marcos, including the Planning and Zoning Commission, the J?e~ent of Public Works, the City's legal staff and the airport camu.sSl.oners. TASK DESClUPTIONS Task 1 - Inventory and Review of Pertinent Doct:IIœnts This task will consist of a review of existing pertinent documents, including previous planning studies, and collection of addi tional data essential to achieving the objectives of the Study. Data collection will be comprehensive in scope, but every effort will be made to avoid the collection of superfluous or unnecessary informa- tion. Information sources will include the Federal Aviation Mmi.ni.s- tration, the Texas Aeronautics Commission, the appropriate state, county and city offices, the universities in the area, and other sources as required. Emphasis will be placed on local inquiry and investigation to develop this information. A survey and inventory of existing San Marcos airport fac- ilities will be undertaken to establish basic data that will be useful in determining the future role of the facilities in the airport devel- opment program. The inventory and survey will be designed to produce sufficient information to develop preliminary judgments relative to future airport development. No soil borings or subsurface investi- gations will be taken as a part of this study, but soil studies done in connection with other San Marcos airport projects will be con- sidered.
