8 Soliciting and Evaluating Proposals LWFW has assisted the City in the selection process. A Request for Proposals was developed and mailed to selected vendors that had a high potential of providing a system capable of achieving the City's information processing needs. The proposals were received and LWFW eval ua ted the proposed systems. Site visits and presentations were conducted. A recommendation was made and accepted by the City Council and City Management. 8 Negotiation of a Contract and Implementation of the Selected System LWFW assisted the City in negotiating a contract with the selected vendor. Once that was accomplished, LWFW consultants provided "top level" management assistance during the implementation process. Also, we assisted with the implementation of word processing and microcomputers within the City -- including conducting comprehensive training classes.
