<br /> 8 Negotiation of Vendor Contracts <br /> The Council accepted L WFW's recommendation and a contract has been <br /> successfully negotiated with the selected vendor. <br /> 8 Implementation is in process with assistance in project management from LWFW. <br /> City of Greenville, Texas <br /> Mr. Randy Keltner, Data Processing Manager Acquisition of a New Computer System <br /> Note: Recently became DP Manager - Carroll ton, Texas and Implementation Support <br /> 8 Assessment of Needs <br /> LWFW was engaged by the City of Greenville, Texas, to identify the management <br /> information needs of the City, and prioritize these needs. After the needs were <br /> prioritized, a workshop was conducted with the City Council to review the study's <br /> progress. <br /> 8 Soliciting and Evaluating Bid Proposals <br /> LWFW prepared a Request for Proposals for a data processing system capable of <br /> achieving the identified needs, evaluated vendor responses, and conducted site <br /> visits to cities using the proposed systems. A recommendation was developed and <br /> accepted by the City Council. <br /> PROJECT TEAM <br /> L WFW's experience indicates that the scope of this study requires a special mix of <br /> professional expertise, including: <br /> 8 Independence of the consulting firm from ties to any particular vendor of <br /> computer software or hardware, or service bureau. <br /> 8 Expertise with municipal data processing environments, city governments' <br /> accounting practices, and operational problems. <br /> 8 Knowledge of and experience with all aspects of automated municipal <br /> govern men tal systems and operations, including operational areas of a <br /> municipality such as water treatment, streets, transit, and fire. <br /> 8 In-depth expertise in developing data processing strategies for municipal <br /> governmental entities. <br /> 21 <br />
