Requirements for Independence <br /> Because the City wishes to be assisted by independent <br /> evaluators, it is understood that any firm selected may have to <br /> forego the installation of any hardware or software from which it <br /> will receive gain. The City of San Marcos will be the judge for <br /> determining the extent of conflict and the appropriate cure. For <br /> purpose of avoiding conflict, each firm responding is asked to <br /> declare: <br /> -- all software it is currently marketing for local <br /> government application; <br /> -- any software previously marketed or installed for local <br /> government; <br /> -- any software vendors with which the firm has any <br /> connections for local government; and <br /> -- any data processing hardware vendors the firm has <br /> represented. <br /> VII. FEE <br /> FIRMS SUBMITTING PROPOSALS ARE REQUESTED TO RETURN THIS <br /> R.F.P. ALONG WITH THEIR PROPOSAL. <br /> The fee to perform this Data Processing study is $13,500 - $15,000.* <br /> This figure represents the consulting fee to perform the service <br /> requested in this R.F.P. and will not be exceeded. <br /> *This fee includes expenses and has been discounted by $4,500. <br />
