The limits of the <br /> Projects are as defined in the June 24, 1985 Sessom Sewer <br /> Line Report prepared for Owner by Engineer, a copy of which <br /> is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all purposes, <br /> and shall also include the Main Interceptor from Manhole No. <br /> 4 to the main lift station. <br /> 0.1 STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE <br /> 0.1.1 All engineering services in connection with this <br /> contract shall be performed by the Engineer in accordance with the <br /> standard of care exhibited by Engineers who possess special <br /> expertise in the type of work involved in this project. <br /> 1.1 MAIN INTERCEPTOR <br /> 1.1.1 Preliminary Study <br /> A. Determination of Flow and Line Integrity: The Engineer <br /> will assist the Owner in determining flow monitoring requirements <br /> and will evaluate video-inspection and flow monitoring data <br /> supplied by the Owner and determine the necessity for such <br /> additional data to provide adequate basis of information for <br /> rendering a recommendation regarding rectification of existing <br /> deficiencies relating to flow and line integrity. <br /> B. Determination of Existing Line Profiles: Prior to <br /> commencement of this Phase, the Owner shall provide Engineer with <br /> a determination as to a preferred alternate route should it prove <br /> to be necessary to design and construct a complete new sewer line <br /> to replace the existing interceptor. Owner will provide <br /> preliminary field surveying information using the existing sewer <br /> line as a survey baseline as defined in Section 2.12. <br /> 1. If an alternate alignment is required by Owner for <br /> the proposed interceptor, Engineer will investigate this alternate <br /> alignment. However, field surveying will not be performed by <br /> Engineer for this alternate alignment except by agreement with <br /> Owner. <br /> -2- <br />
