These maximums may be increased by 20 <br /> percent where all SIGNS on a PREMISES are designed and <br /> constructed with materials, colors, and style that are <br /> consistent with the appearance of the principal building(s) <br /> or structure(s) as determined by the ADMINISTRATOR, provided <br /> further that such increase does not conflict with any other <br /> section of this ordinance. <br /> 1. AGRICULTURAL USES: Two square feet per residence; plus <br /> an additional 1 square foot per 4 linear feet of total <br /> street FRONTAGE, but in no case exceeding 100 square <br /> feet, for BUSINESS SIGNS pertaining to the sale of <br /> agricultural products produced on the PREMISES. <br /> 2. RESIDENTIAL USES: Four square feet per dwelling unit <br /> or mobile home; plus an additional 1 square foot per 4 <br /> linear feet of total street FRONTAGE for IDENTIFICATION <br /> SIGNS identifying MULTIPLE OCCUPANCY complexes (mul ~ci- <br /> family, condominium), townhouse developments, and group <br /> quarters (lodging and boarding houses, dormitories, <br /> fraternity and sorority houses). <br /> 3. OFFICE & PROFESSIONAL /BUSINESS PARK /INDUSTRIAL <br /> /INSTITUTIONAL USES: 1 square foot per 1 linear foot of <br /> building FRONTAGE, or 1 square foot per 1.5 linear feet <br /> of street FRONTAGE, whichever is greater, but not <br /> including freestanding IDENTIFICATION SIGNS for <br /> multiple occupancies as defined in Sec. 2-1(10), or <br /> IDENTIFICATION SIGNS for subdivisions in accordance <br /> with Sec. 4-4(7). <br /> 4. COMMERCIAL USES: 2 square feet per 1 linear foot of <br /> building FRONTAGE (3 square feet per 1 linear foot in <br /> the HIGHWAY CORRIDOR) or 1 square foot per 1 linear <br /> foot of street FRONTAGE (1.5 square feet per 1 linear <br /> foot in the HIGHWAY CORRIDOR), or 1.25 square feet for <br /> every 1 linear foot of street FRONTAGE if the street <br /> FRONTAGE is less than 75 linear feet whichever is <br /> greater. The maximum aggregate SIGN AREA under this <br /> section shall be in addition to that SIGN AREA allowed <br /> for MULTIPLE OCCUPANCY POLE SIGNS and that SIGN AREA <br /> allowed for subdivision IDENTIFICATION SIGNS. <br /> 5. MIXED USES: The maximum allowable aggregate SIGN AREA <br /> for PREMISES containing two or more USES having <br /> different standards with respect to the provisions of <br /> this section shall be determined in proportion to the <br /> percent of gross floor area intended for, or occupied <br /> by, each such USE. <br /> -17- <br />
