<br /> the most restrictive ZONiNG DISTRICT in which the <br /> particular USE is permitted by right, or in <br /> conformance with a previously granted variance to <br /> the required building setback. <br /> b. POLE SIGNS are not permitted on any PREMISES also <br /> having one or more PROJECTING SIGNS; <br /> c. the total number of POLE SIGNS shall not exceed <br /> one per street FRONTAGE; <br /> d. any portion of such SIGN which overhangs an open <br /> area shall maintain a free clearance of at least 9 <br /> feet and at least 12 feet when overhanging a <br /> vehicular drive; <br /> e. the SIGN HEIGHT shall not exceed 42 1/2 feet in <br /> the HIGHWAY CORRIDOR or for any other PREMISE <br /> abutting a street designated in the adopted Master <br /> Plan as a major arterial, or 25 feet in all other <br /> locations, except that flag poles may have a <br /> height up to 60 feet in all locations; <br /> f. any non-exempted flags shall be considered POLE <br /> SIGNS (see Exempted SIGN Sec. 3-5); and, <br /> g. the allowable SIGN AREA per POLE SIGN shall not <br /> exceed 75 square feet plus 10 square feet for each <br /> 1 foot of SIGN SETBACK up to a maximum of 260 <br /> square feet in the HIGHWAY CORRIDOR, or 64 square <br /> feet plus 10 square feet for each 1 foot of SIGN <br /> SETBACK up to a maximum of 150 square feet along <br /> all major arterials or 50 square feet plus ß <br /> square feet for each 1 foot of SIGN SETBACK up t.o <br /> a maximum of 150 square feet in all other <br /> locations. <br /> 10. MULTIPLE-OCCUPANCY POLE SIGNS may be placed at multiple <br /> use locations with the following SIGN and setback <br /> limitations: <br /> a. In the HIGHWAY CORRIDOR, 75 square feet plus 20 <br /> square feet per tenant, or 260 square feet, <br /> whichever is greater, with a ten foot setback; <br /> b. In all other locations; 50 square feet plus 10 <br /> square feet per tenant, or 150 square feet <br /> whichever is greater, with a five foot setback. <br /> 11. PROJECTING SIGNS shall be limited as follows: <br /> a. PROJECTING SIGNS are not permitted on any premises <br /> also having one or more POLE SIGNS; <br /> b. PROJECTING SIGNS shall maintain a free clearance <br /> to grade of at least 10 feet, and may project no <br /> more than 4 feet from the building; and, <br /> c. no PROJECTING SIGN may be closer than 50 feet to <br /> any other PROJECTING SIGN on the same building <br /> FRONTAGE, except in the CBA ZONING DISTRICT where <br /> one PROJECTING SIGN per PREMISE may be displayed. <br /> 12. ROOF SIGNS shall in no case extend above the highest <br /> point of the visible roof line. <br /> 13. SWINGING SIGNS shall not exceed 10 square feet in area. <br /> 14.
