<br /> -2- <br /> SECTION 2. That the tabulation of votes cast in the <br /> regular and special elections held on April 5, 1986 for the <br /> purpose of electing a mayor, a city council member, place one, <br /> and a city council member, place two, and considering <br /> amendments to the Charter of said City, the removal of <br /> parkland and Municipal Airport restrictions on the use of <br /> certain City-owned property, and the acquisition by said City <br /> of certain land to be used as a nature conservancy and <br /> drainage basin for the protection of the San Marcos River, <br /> made and certified to by the City Secretary of the City of San <br /> Marcos, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part <br /> hereof, be, and the same is hereby, adopted as the official <br /> tabulation of the votes cast at said elections and that said <br /> tabulation be filed and recorded in the official records of <br /> the City of San Marcos as the official canvass of said <br /> elections. <br /> SECTION 3. That the said official canvass of the <br /> returns of said elections reflects the following: <br /> A. That the official canvass of the returns of <br /> said elections reflects that the following <br /> person was duly elected Mayor of the City of <br /> San Marcos: <br /> J.E. Younger <br /> B. That the official canvass of the returns of <br /> said elections reflects that no candidate for <br /> City Council Member, Place One, of the City of <br /> San Marcos received a majority of the votes <br /> cast for such place. <br /> C. That the official canvass of the returns of <br /> said elections reflects that the following <br /> person was duly elected City Council Member, <br /> Place Two, of the City of San Marcos: <br /> Fred Guerra <br /> D. That the official canvass of the returns of <br /> said elections reflects that the following <br /> propositions were approved by a majority of <br /> the qualified voters voting at said elections: <br /> Proposition No. 1 <br /> Amend Section 2.03(a) to provide for a public <br /> hearing in an area proposed to be annexed, as <br /> provided by State law. <br /> Proposition No. 2 <br /> Amend Section 3.06 to conform to State law <br /> regarding calling a special election. <br /> Proposition No. 3 <br /> Amend Section 3.11 to provide for the adoption of <br /> zoning district designation ordinances. <br /> Proposition No. 4 <br /> Add Section 3.17(a) to provide for the removal of <br /> Council members for unexcused absences. <br /> Proposition No. 5 <br /> Add a subsection to Section 3.17 to provide for the <br /> removal of City Council appointees. <br />
