<br /> -5- <br /> Proposition No. 29 <br /> Remove the municipal airport restriction from <br /> several tracts of land out of the Municipal Airport <br /> Subdivision totaling approximately 18.16 acres in <br /> size, more or less, and being part of that property <br /> commonly known as Lowman Airfield located on the <br /> southeast side of the 2200 through 2600 blocks of <br /> IH-35 South, as the same is no longer needed as a <br /> municipal airport, so that the proceeds from any <br /> sale and/or trade may be used only to acquire <br /> parkland. <br /> Proposition No. 30 <br /> The acquisition by the City of all or a portion of <br /> certain land to be used by the City as a nature <br /> conservancy (green belt) and drainage basin for the <br /> protection of the San Marcos River bounded <br /> generally by Sessom Drive, Chestnut Street, and <br /> Peach Tree Street. <br /> E. That the official canvass of the returns of <br /> said elections re:El ects that the following <br /> proposition was defeated by a majority of the <br /> qualified voters voting in said election. <br /> Proposition No. 10 <br /> Add Section 4.05 to allow the appointment by the <br /> City Council of an Assistant to perform such <br /> services for the Council as it shall request and <br /> which are not inconsistent with the Charter. <br /> SECTION 4. That the importance of this Ordinance creates <br /> an emergency and an imperative public necessity so that the <br /> provisions of the Charter requiring that ordinances shall be <br /> presented at three separate meetings and that no ordinance <br /> shall become effective until the expiration of ten (10) days <br /> following the date of its final passage be suspended, and <br /> these provisions are hereby suspended, and this Ordinance <br /> shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and <br /> after its adoption and after its publication in a newspaper <br /> of general circulation in the area as required by the Charter <br /> of the City of San Marcos. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7 day of April , <br /> 1986. <br /> ~>-(~ <br /> U <br /> J.
