<br /> -4- <br /> Proposition No. 19 <br /> Amend Section 8.17 to provide that the Finance <br /> Director shall certify to the existence of funds <br /> for proposed expenditures. <br /> Proposition No. 20 <br /> Amend Section 8.17 to increase to $5,000 the City <br /> Manager's authority to contract for budgeted <br /> expenditures, as provided by State law. <br /> Proposition No. 21 <br /> Amend Section 8.17 to provide for rejecting <br /> competitive bids. <br /> Proposition No. 22 <br /> Amend Section 12.02 to delete obsolete sub-sections <br /> and re-nurnber the remaining sub-sections. <br /> Proposition No. 23 <br /> Amend present Section l2.02(c)(2} to provide for <br /> annual duties of the Ethics Review Commission. <br /> Proposition No. 24 <br /> Amend present Section 12.02(c)(5} to provide that <br /> the Ethics Commission may recommend prosecution or <br /> other action for violations of the Code of Ethics. <br /> Proposition No. 25 <br /> Amend Section 12.12 to provide that the Charter <br /> Review Commission shall meet in odd-numbered years. <br /> Proposition No. 26 <br /> Amend Section 12.12 to provide that the Charter may <br /> be amended as provided in Article 1170, Vernon's <br /> Annotated Texas Statutes. <br /> Proposition No. 27 <br /> Delete Section 12.14 which pertains to the manner <br /> of the original adoption of the charter by the <br /> voters and is no longer necessary. <br /> Proposition No. 28 <br /> Remove the parkland restriction from a tract of <br /> land approximately 14.75 acres in size, more or <br /> less, the same being the most southern corner or <br /> end of a tract of land approximately 25 acres in <br /> size, more or less, commonly known as the Old Sewer <br /> Treatment Plant property located on the southeast <br /> side of the 1300 Block of IH-35 North near the <br /> Department of Public Safety headquarters for San <br /> Marcos, so it may be sold and/or traded and the <br /> proceeds used only to acquire more suitable <br /> parkland and/or recreation facilities. <br />
