<br />75 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Regular Meeting April 28, 1986 Page 6 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Coddington moved to table this item until the next possible <br />meeting and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval to change the <br />Regular Meeting date of May 26, 1986 (Memorial Holiday) to Monday, <br />May 19, 1986, at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Coddington moved for approval, <br />and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration acceptance of a settlement <br />offer for proof of Claim No. 1482 filed in Sambo's Restaurant, Inc. <br />Bankruptcy and authorizing the City Manager to negotiate check in the <br />amount of $198.17 and authorizing the City Attorney to execute with- <br />drawl of proof of claim. Mr. Coddington moved for acceptance and Ms. <br />Kissler seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration award of bid for 7211 <br />front line mower for Parks Department. Mr. Farr moved to award the <br />bid to Watson Distributing Co., Inc. for the bid of $7,790.00 <br />and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration award of bid for 48 HP <br />wheel tractor for Parks Department. Mr. Brown moved to award the bid <br />to Longhorn International Inc., for the bid of $9,988.00 and Mr. <br />Guerra seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration authorization to bid for a <br />Truck chassis for Water/Wastewater Department. Mr. Hankins suggested <br />to the Council that the specifications needed to have language added <br />to it. Mr. Coddington moved to authorize bidding for the truck chassis <br />for the Water/Wastewater Department to include the following language <br />added to the specifications and Mr. Farr seconded the motion which <br />passed unanimously: (add language at the end of specifications) <br />"The successful bidder will be responsible for the truck chassis and <br />will assume all liability for it until it is received by the bidder <br />awarded the contract for the High Pressure Hydraulic Sewer Cleaner Unit <br />at said bidder's place of business.1I <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration authorization to bid for a <br />High pressure hydraulic sewer cleaner unit for the Water/Wastewater <br />Department. Mr. Hankins suggested to the Council that the specifications <br />needed to have language added to it. Mr. Farr moved to authorize bidding <br />for the high pressure hydraulic sewer cleaner unit to include the following <br />language added to the specifications and Mr. Nicola seconded the motion <br />which passed unanimously: "17. Liability <br />17.1 Liability for Truck Chassis and <br />Cleaner Unit during installation and <br />shipment. <br /> <br />The successful bidder will be responsible for the Truck Chassis and the <br />High Pressure Hydraulic Sewer Cleaner Unit and will assume liability <br />for both during installation of the Cleaner Unit on the Truck Chassis, <br />during shipment to City and until the completed Truck/Cleaner Unit <br />is received by the City at its offices in San Marcos, Texas.1I <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration authorization to bid for a <br />PBX Communication System for the City of San Marcos. Mr. Guerra moved <br />for authorization to bid and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion.
