'IHENCE: S 49034' 58" W 1728.62 feet, along the approximate center line of said underground pipeline, to an iron pin set in the Southwesterly line of above referenced tract, for the South corner of this tract; 'IHENCE: Along the general direction of an old existing fence - 0 line and the Southwest line of above referenced tract, N 40 21' 31" W 1352.33 feet and N 40026' 51" W 190.95 feet to the Point of Beginning and containing 62.235 acres of land, more or less. and, WHEREAS, an on-site public hearing has not been requested in writing by more than 20 adults residing in said area; and, WHEREAS, notices of said public hearings were published in the Sa.n Marcos Daily Record, a newspaper having general circulation in said City and in the territory proposed for annexation, on February 9, 1986 , and Februaryll, 198() said dates being not more than bienty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the hearings for which notice was given; and, ~VHEREAS, prior to the publication of notice of said hearings, the City Council of the City of S:m Marcos, Texas, directed preparation of a service plan that provides for the extension of municipal services to said area proposed for annexation; and, ~'7HEREAS, said prqJosed service plan was made available for inspection and explained to the inhabitants of the area to œ annexed at said public hearings; and, ~VHEREAS, said 62.235 acres are contiguous and adlacent to the current boundaries of the City of Sa.n ~1arcos, Texas; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the following described property, being a 62.235 acre tract of land adjoining the existing city limits of the City of San Marcos, Texas, and be ing approx ima te 1 y 48.015 acre s out of the B. 0 'Kane Survey and approximately 14.22 acres out of the J.M. Verarœndi Survey No. CXle, and also being out of the central portion of a tract of 195.677 acres, and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING: At an iron pin found in the Ebuthwesterly line of above referenced tract, for the vilest corner of this tract, said point being 507.16 feet Southeasterly along the Southwest line of the above referenced tract from the ~'Vest corner of the above referenced tract; THFNCE: N 430 35' 56" E 1734.13 feet, along a staked line by others, to an iron pin found in the Southwesterly Right-of-~vay line of P.M. Highway No. 621, for the North corner of this tract; THENCE: In a Southeasterly direction along said Ebuthwesterly Right-of-Way line and a curve to the right, having a central -. - 0 - - angle of 07 47' 16", a radius of 1106.30 feet, a tangent of 75.30 feet, an arc length of 150.37 feet, and a chord bearing ~ - and distance of S 24 18' 39"E 150.26 feet to a broken and bent over highway monun:ent in same at the end of said curve, for an angle point of this tract;
