WHEREAS, prior to the publication of notices of said hearings, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, directed preparation of a service plan that provides for the extension of municipal services to said area proposed for annexation: and, WHEREAS, said proposed service plan was made available for inspection and explained to the inhabitants of the area to be annexed at said public hearings: and, WHEREAS, said tracts are contiguous and adjacent to the current boundaries of the City of San Marcos, Texas: now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY mUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SOCTION 1. That the following described properties, being 0.50 acres and 4.57 acres of land adjoining the existing city limits of the City of San Marcos, Texas, out of the ,J .M. Verarnendi 9Jrvey No. 2, Hays County, Texas, and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: TRACT 1: DEOCRIPTION OF 0.50 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, OF LAND AREA, IN 'IRE J .M. VERAMENDI 3JRVEY, NO.2, BEING 'IRA T 0.50 ACRE 'IRAC T CONVEYED BY SAt\J MARCOS INDUS'IRIAL FOUNDATION, INC. 10 C.C. HOLT, ET UX, BY DEED DATED SEPTEMBER 21, 1978 AND ROCORDED IN VOLUME 316, PAGE 380 OF WE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, SAID 0.50 ACRE TRACT BEING A roRTION OF THAT 6.80 ACRE TRACT mNVEY ED BY C.C. HOLT 10 CHARLES D. NASH, JR. BY DEED DATED OCIOBER 15, 1984 AND RECORDED IN VOLUME 475, PAGE 580 OF 'IRE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, AND BEIl\X; MORE PARTICULARLY DEOCRIBED BY METES AND rouNDS AS FOLLOWS: COMMENCIl\X; at an iron red set for a concrete monument found in September 1978 at Engineer IS Station 741+72.6, being in the northwest line of Interstate Highway 1\10. 35 for the rrost southerly east corner of that 166.61 acre tract conveyed by San Marcos Industrial Foundation, Inc. to Butler Manufacturing Company by deed dated September 14, 1979 and recorded in Volume 331, Page 573 of the Hays County D:?ed Records: THENCE with the corrrnon line of the Butler tract and LH. No. 35, the following two courses: 1. S24° 29 '36"W 1531.31 feet to a concrete rnonurænt found at Engineer's Station 757+03.91 and 2. 0 S 26 47' 50"W 357.75 feet to a fence post for the cormnon corner of the Butler tract and the Nash tract and being the PLACE OF BEGINNING: '!HENCE leaving the PLACE OF BEGINNING and crossing the Nash tract 8450 27'49"W 595.66 feet to an iron pipe found in the northwest line of the Nash tract and the southeast line of the Butler tract: THENCE with the cormnon line of the Nash tract and the Butler tract, the following two courses: 1.
