<br />Section 2. POLLING PLACES; ELECTION OFFICERS. The election <br />precincts and polling places for said election, together with the persons hereby <br />appointed to serve as the respective officers of said election shall be and are hereby <br />established and designated in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, which is incorporated <br />herein by reference and made a part of this Ordinance for all purposes. Each <br />Presiding Judge shall appoint not less than two (2) Clerks to serve and assist in <br />holding said election; provided that if the Presiding Judge of a polling place serves, <br />the Alternate Presiding Judge of such polling place shall be one of the Clerks. <br />Section 3. Absentee voting shall be conducted at the office of the City <br />Secretary in the City Hall, 630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 18666 (which is <br />also the address for absentee voting by mail), in accordance with the applicable <br />provisions of Title 1, V.T.C.A. Election Code. The persons hereby appointed to the <br />Absentee Ballot Board for said election are shown in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. <br />Section 4. VOTING HOURS. (a) On election day the polls shall be open from <br />7:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. <br />(b) For the period absentee voting is permitted by law, the hours designated <br />for absentee voting shall be from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. on each day except <br />Saturdays, Sundays and official State holidays. <br />Section 5. ELECTRONIC VOTING SYSTEM. An electronic voting system, as <br />defined in Title 8, V.T.c.A. Election Code, shall be used in said election. Said <br />system shall be used for all absentee voting as well as for all precinct voting <br />conducted on election day. Sufficient voting equipment to accommodate the voters <br />shall be provided for absentee voting and at each of the polling places on election <br />day. The Central Counting Station is established as the Conference Room, located <br />in the City Hall, 630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas. The persons hereby <br />appointed to serve as officers of the Central Counting Station are hereby designated <br />in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. <br />Section 6. BALLOT CARDS AND BALLOT LABELS. Ballot cards and ballot <br />labels shall be prepared in accordance with the applicable provisions of V.T.c.A. <br />Election Code so as to permit the electors to vote "FOR" or "AGAINST" the <br />aforesaid proposition, which shall be set forth in substantially the following form: <br /> PROPOSITION <br />THE ISSUANCE OF $ \1, too,ocoREVENUE BONDS FOR <br />PURCHASING, IMPROVING, EXTENDING AND EQUIPPING <br />AN ELECTRIC LIGHT AND POWER SYSTEM AND PLEDGING <br />THE REVENUES OF SAID SYSTEM TO THE PAYMENT OF <br />THE BONDS <br />Section 1. PERSONS QUALIFIED TO VOTE. All resident qualified electors <br />of said City shall be permitted to vote at said election. <br />
