<br /> MINUTES OF THE <br /> HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING <br /> NOVEMBER 7, 1985 <br /> Commissioners Present: Alex Stedman <br /> Gwen Smith <br /> Martha Latta <br /> Betty Wolverton <br /> Lee Sowell <br /> City Staff Present: Bill Thomas <br /> Terry Colley <br /> Others Present: Mr. Chuck Blue <br /> Mrs. Chuck Blue <br /> Mr. Ross King <br /> Mr. Gary Henry <br /> Item 1. Chairman Stedman called the meeting to order. <br /> Chairman Stedman called the roll. All commissioners <br /> were present. <br /> Item 2. A motion was made to approve the minutes of the <br /> September 19, 1985 meeting, with the correcting of the <br /> words "roll" and "of". The motion was made by Smith <br /> and seconded by Wolverton. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> Item 3. Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Blue presented their plans for re- <br /> modeling their residence at 1001 W. San Antonio Street. <br /> Mr. Blue stated that he may need to do some leveling <br /> to the house, clean the metal roof, and remove the <br /> asbestos siding to expose the original wood. He will <br /> also add a small garden window in the kitchen area. <br /> The paint scheme will consist of white for the main <br /> color and a deep green for the trim. He also plans <br /> to convert the carport to a storage and workshop <br /> area. Bill Thomas pointed out that he may need to have <br /> a variance to do this. <br /> A motion was made by Wolverton to approve this project <br /> as submitted, and seèonded by Sowell. The motion passed <br /> unanimously. <br /> Item 4. Stephen Jones was not present, but had previously for- <br /> \'larded his plans for recommendation by the Commission. <br /> After considering the plans and paint colors, a motion <br /> was made by Smith to approve the plans as submitted in <br /> the packet. Seconded by Latta, and approved unanimously. <br />
