VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO.1, IN <br /> SAID CITY, BEING PART OF PROPERTY CONVEY ED BY <br /> SANTIAGO 'IURNINE, ALMINIS'IRATOR OF THE ESTATE OF JESUS R. <br /> COMroS, DECEASED, TO JULIAN RIVERA, BY DEED DATED <br /> NOVEMBER 13, 1920, AND ROCORDED IN VOLUME 79, PAGES 623- <br /> 624, HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, SAID TRACTS BEl NG <br /> LOCATED ON THE SJUTHWEST mRNER OF GROVE AND HULL <br /> STREETS, FROM "1" (INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT) TO "LI" (LIGHT <br /> INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT); AND DOCLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, on April 1, 1986, the Zoning Commission of the City of <br /> San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the <br /> zoning from "I" (Industrial District) to "LI" (Light Industrial <br /> District) of TRACT 1: 0.50 acre of land In the J .M. Veramendi <br /> Survey No. One (l), and TRACT 2: 0.12 acres of land in the J.M. <br /> Veramendi League No.1; and, <br /> ~"lliEREAS, subsequent to said public hearing on said date, said <br /> Commission did, on April 1, 1986, consider said request and <br /> voted to approve the same and has recommended that such request be <br /> approved by the City Council of said City; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said City Council held a public hearing on the 9 day <br /> of June , 1986, regarding such request; and, <br /> WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning <br /> Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos <br /> pertaining to amendments have been met; and, <br /> ~"lliEREAS, said City Council hereby finds and determines that the <br /> adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the public <br /> health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> SOCTION 1. That the following described tracts of real property <br /> located in San r.1arcos, Hays County, Texas, which are presently zoned <br /> "I" (Industrial District) henceforth shall be rezoned "LI" <br /> (Light Industrial District): <br /> TRACT 1: <br /> BEGINNING at an lron stake set at the Northwest corner of a <br /> metal building for the Northwest corner of the tract herein <br /> described, same being in the East line of that 5.426 acre tract <br /> of land conveyed to H. Garland Stokes by the First City National <br /> Bank of Houston by deed dated November 28, 1967, and recorded in <br /> Volume 263, Page 151, Hays County [Bed Records, and in the South <br /> line of Grove Street, as recognized and used upon the ground, <br /> and from which iron stake the Northeast corner of the said <br /> ° <br /> Stokes tract bears N. 9 54' W. 50.43 feet; <br /> THENCE, leaving the Stokes tract, with the North side of the <br /> said metal building, and the South line of Grove Street, as <br /> recognized and used upon the ground, N. 81 ° 15' E., at <br /> approxlinately 104.2 feet passing the Northeast corner of said <br /> metal building and continuing on in all 106.90 feet to an iron <br /> stake set for the Northeast corner of the tract herein <br /> described, same being at the intersection of the South line of <br /> the said Grove Street with the W3st line of Hull Street, both as <br /> recognized and used upon the ground. <br /> THENCE, leaving Grove Street, with the said W3st line of Hull <br /> Street, as recognized and used upon the ground, S. 9°06' E., at <br /> approximately 94 feet joining an old fence line and continuing <br />
