The actual cost shall De l~mited to: laDor, ~nclua~ng foremen, <br /> mater~a~s enter~ng permanently into the work, the ownersh~p or renta~ <br /> cost of construction plant and equipment dur~ng the time of use on the <br /> work, power ana consumabl.e supplies for the operation of power <br /> equipment, insurance ana soclal secur~ty ana o~d age ana unemployment <br /> contr~Dut~ons. <br /> 3.1.3 Construct~on Cost does not include the compensation of the <br /> ARCHITECT ana the ARCHITECT's consultants, the cost of the ~ana, <br /> rights-of-way, or other costs which are the responsib~lity of the OWNER <br /> as prov~aed ~n Art~cle 2. <br /> 3.2 RESPONSIBILITY FOR CONSTRUCTION COST <br /> 3.2.1 Evaluations of the OWNER's Project budget, Statements of <br /> ProDabl.e Construction Cost and Deta~~ea Statements of Construct~on <br /> Cost, if any, prepareaoy the ARCHITECT, represent the ARCHITECT's Dest <br /> Judgment as a des~gn professional familiar w~th the construct~on <br /> ~ndustry. <br /> 3.2.2 A f~xed lim~t of construction cost will De establ~shea for <br /> th~s ProJect(s). The ARCHITECT shall be permittea to inc~uae <br /> cont~ngencies for aesign, bidding ana prlce escalat~on, to determ~ne <br /> what mater~als, equ~pment, component systems and types of construction <br /> are to be ~ncluaea in the contract documents, to make reasonaD~e <br /> adJustments in the scope of the proJect(s) ana to ~ncl.ude in the <br /> contract documents alternate oids to adjust the construction cost to <br /> the fixed limit. The f~xea limit of construction cost may oe ~ncreased <br /> by OWNER. Any such ~ncrease ~n the fixed limit of construct~on cost <br /> shall not result ~n ~ncreasea compensation to ARCHITECT unless same ~s <br /> the result of rev~sions requested DY OWNER in accordance with Sec tion <br /> -10- <br />
