<br />11 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Regular Meeting June 23, 1986 Page 9 <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of designation <br />of Senior Managing Underwriter for the purchase of LCRA electrical <br />system bonds. Mr. Farr moved to conduct the bond sale for LCRA <br />purchase provided the referendum support of that purchase by negotiated <br />sale and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. On roll call the following <br />vote was recorded: <br /> <br />FOR: Farr, Younger, Guerra, Kissler, Nicola <br /> <br />AGAINST: None <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: Coddington <br /> <br />Ms. Kissler moved to designate as the Senior Managing Underwriter <br />for the purchase of LCRA electrical system bonds the Salomon Brothers, <br />Inc. and Mr. Farr seconded the motion. On roll call the following <br />vote was recorded: <br /> <br />FOR: Farr, Younger, Guerra, Kissler, Nicola <br /> <br />AGAINST: None <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: Coddington <br /> <br />Mr. Newman suggested that the Council consider a Co-Managing Underwriter <br />for the purchase of LCRA electrical system bonds. The Co-Managing <br />Underwriter would provide a sufficient level of local and regional <br />distribution for the bonds to be sold. He recommended that the Council <br />consider the Texas Capital Markets Group be designated at the Co-Managing <br />Underwriter. The advantages of having a Co-Managing Underwriter were <br />there would be no additional cost to the City and they would provide <br />additional assistance in distribution of the local and regional sale of <br />the bonds. Ms. Kissler moved to designate as the Co-Managing Under- <br />writers the Texas Capital Markets Group and Mr. Farr seconded the <br />motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />FOR: Farr, Younger, Guerra, Kissler, Nicola <br /> <br />AGAINST: None <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: Coddington <br /> <br />Mr. Guerra moved the Council adjourn into Executive Session pursuant to <br />Article 6252-17 §2(e), V.A.C.S., to discuss matters where the duties <br />of hte City Attorney to the City pursuant to the Code of Professional <br />Responsibility of hte State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with Article <br />6252-17 (cottonwood Creek Utility Facility Plan Contract) and Ms. <br />Kissler seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
