10 Regular Meeting June 23, 1986 Page 8 Mayor Younger introduced for consideration award of bid for Post Road Overlay Improvements. Mr. Farr moved to award the bid to Eiler's Construction Company, Inc. for the bid of $170,563.50 and Mr. Coddington seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration award of bid for the PBX Communications Phone System. Mr. Guerra moved to award the bid to Guadalupe Valley Communications Systems, Inc. for the ITT 3100 System for the bid of $59,414.00 and Mr. Farr seconded the motion. Mr. Coddington stressed his concern for awarding the bid at this time. He urged the Council to wait until the Public Works Complex was completed. He further went on and urged the Council to reject the bids and authorize bidding at a later date. On roll call the following vote was recorded: FOR: Farr, Guerra, Kissler, Nicola AGAINST: Coddington, Younger ABSTAIN: None Mayor Younger introduced for consideration authorization to bid for Communications Control Center Console for Police Department. Mr. Farr moved for authorization to bid and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. Mr. Coddington moved to table this item to the Special Meeting to be held June 27, 1986 and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion. Mr. Coddington advised the Council that he had not been advised that the specifi- cations were made available for review. Other members of the Council concurred with Mr. Coddington. The Council voted unani- mously to table the item until the June 27, 1986 Special Meeting. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration authorization to request proposals for a Needs Assessment Study for Police and Fire Facility. Mr. Nicola moved to table this item until the July 14, 1986 Regular Meeting and Mr. Coddington seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: FOR: Coddington, Younger, Guerra, Nicola AGAINST: Farr, Kissler ABSTAIN: None Mayor Younger introduced for consideration the salary compensation for the Full-time Municipal Court Judge. Mr. Coddington moved to set the annual salary for the Full-time Municipal Court Judge at $33,500.00 and Mayor Younger seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of the dates for the Council/Staff Workshop Retreat. It was by consensus of the Council that the dates for the Retreat would be July 10,11 & 12, 1986. Mayor Younger introduced discussion of Capital Improvements Program (CIP) for 1986-1987. Mr. Coddington moved to table this item until the Workshop Meeting prior to the Regular Meeting to be held July 14, 1986. The Workshop will be held at 6:00 p.m. Ms. Kissler seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
