RESIDENTIAL SERVICE RATE SCHEDULE - RS MONTHLY RATE (continued) The above rate per kWh will be adj usted pI us or minus in accordance with the formula specified in the Power Cost Adjust- ment Clause. The amount computed at the "Monthly Rate" shall be subject to taxes, assessments or surcharges imposed by any gov- ernmental authority which are assessed on the basis of revenues from electric service or volume of electricity purchased or sold by the City. MINIMUM CHARGE The monthly minimum charge shall be the sum of the "Customer Charge" and all applicable rate adjustments. PAYMENT The due date of the bill shall be fifteen (15) days after issuance, and payment must be received in the electric utility office of the City by 5:00 P.M. on the due date. Any and all amounts remaining unpaid after the due date shall be assessed a charge in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the unpaid amount. INTERRUPTION OF SERVICE The City will make reasonable provisions to insure satisfac- tory and continuous service, but does not guarantee a continuous supply of electrical power and energy and shall not be liable for damage occasioned by interruptions of service or failure to com- mence delivery caused by acts of God, or the public enemy, or for any cause reasonably beY°!J.d its control, including, but not limited to the failure or breakdown of facilities floods, fire, strikes, or actions or orders of any agency having jurisdiction in the premises, or for interruptions which are necessary for inspection, repair, or changes in equipment or facilities of the City or its bulk power suppliers. The Customer shall notify the City immediately of any de- fects, trouble or accident which may in any way affect the delivery of electric service by the City. FINAL DRAFT 9/5/86 - 3 -
