Box 1689 Fort Worth, TX 76101 Gentlemen : Pursuant to the requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration Regulation Part 154, "Acquisition of U.S. Airway Land for Public Airports Under the Airport and Airway Development Act of 1970", the City of San Marcos submits herewith an application for conveyance of property interest presently held by the Gary Job Corps Center. The property concerned borders San Marcos Municipal Airport and consists primarily of flightline property adjacent to aircraft parking apron, which is needed to expand facilities at San Marcos Municipal Airport. In accordance with FAR Part 154, Section 154.7 (b), the following application is submitted for your consideration: 1. Name and Address of Applicant: City of San Marcos, 630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas, 78666. 2. Name of Airport: San Marcos Municipal Airport. It is located approximately two miles east of San Marcos, Texas, on State Highway 21. 3 . The airport is not being operated under a lease agreement from a public agency. 4. The City of San Marcos has legal authority and the financial ability to develop, improve, construct, operate and maintain the airport. The City has completed and updated a comprehensive Airport Master Plan of the facility, which was accomplished in part through grants from the Federal Aviation Administration. It has recently installed improved airport lighting facilities, also paid for in part by a Federal Aviation Administration grant, completed construction of a new parallel taxiway, and is in the design phases of overlay to Runway 12-30. All of these improvements were funded in part by grants from the FAA.
