In addition, the FAA has installed a full instrument landing system (ILS) on Runway 12-30. The City is authorized under Texas statutes to own and operate an airport. 5. The property interest is presently held by the United States Department of Labor. 6. A map and a description of the property is attached (see Attachments I and lA). 7. Terminal Area Plan: '!he Terminal Area is defined as the primary area on the airport where such functions as fixed base operations, aircraft maintenance, transient aircraft parking, etc., are conducted. Attachment 2 shows a proposed schematic plan to expand the existing terminal area to accommodate the immediate and long range needs. The existing terminal area is shown in Attachment 2 for comparison. '!his plan was developed to consider the maximum utilization of existing facilities with a minimum disruption of present operations. '!he plan will allow flexible expansion to meet demands through the year 2000. Approximately 37 acres of Gary Job Corps Center land is included in the ultimate development. 8. The following improvements are on the land to be conveyed: a) Building #6-355 - Approximate age early 40's, single story, wooden in structure, poor exterior condition. The facility is primarily used for classroom facilities and maintenance. b) Building #6-363 - Approximate age early 40's, single story, wooden in structure, poor exterior condition. This is used for building and maintenance. c) Building #6-364 - Approximate age early 40's, single story, wooden in structure, poor exterior condition. Primarily used for service, occupation and accounting classroom facilities.
