In <br /> addition, the FAA has installed a full instrument landing system <br /> (ILS) on Runway 12-30. The City is authorized under Texas <br /> statutes to own and operate an airport. <br /> 5. The property interest is presently held by the United States <br /> Department of Labor. <br /> 6. A map and a description of the property is attached (see <br /> Attachments I and lA). <br /> 7. Terminal Area Plan: '!he Terminal Area is defined as the primary <br /> area on the airport where such functions as fixed base <br /> operations, aircraft maintenance, transient aircraft parking, <br /> etc., are conducted. Attachment 2 shows a proposed schematic <br /> plan to expand the existing terminal area to accommodate the <br /> immediate and long range needs. The existing terminal area is <br /> shown in Attachment 2 for comparison. '!his plan was developed to <br /> consider the maximum utilization of existing facilities with a <br /> minimum disruption of present operations. '!he plan will allow <br /> flexible expansion to meet demands through the year 2000. <br /> Approximately 37 acres of Gary Job Corps Center land is included <br /> in the ultimate development. <br /> 8. The following improvements are on the land to be conveyed: <br /> a) Building #6-355 - Approximate age early 40's, single story, <br /> wooden in structure, poor exterior condition. The facility <br /> is primarily used for classroom facilities and maintenance. <br /> b) Building #6-363 - Approximate age early 40's, single story, <br /> wooden in structure, poor exterior condition. This is used <br /> for building and maintenance. <br /> c) Building #6-364 - Approximate age early 40's, single story, <br /> wooden in structure, poor exterior condition. Primarily <br /> used for service, occupation and accounting classroom <br /> facilities. <br />
