(d) The term "Bonds" means the $16,355,000 City of San Marcos, Texas, Electric Utility System Revenue Bonds, Series 1986, dated October 1, 1986, authorized by this Ordinance; (e) The term "Bondholder", "Holder" or "registered owner", with respect to any Bond, means the person or entity in whose name such Bond is registered in the Registration Books; (f) The term "City" means City of San Marcos or the governing body thereof, as the context may dictate; (g) The term "City Council" means the governing body of the City; (h) The term "Gross Revenues of the City's Electric Light and Power System" and "Gross Revenues" means a11 revenues, income, and receipts of every nature derived or received by the City from the operation and ownership of the System, including the interest income from the investment or deposit of money in any Fund created by this Ordinance, or maintained by the City in connection with the System. (i) The term "Government Securities" means direct obligations of, or obligations the principal of and interest on which are unconditionally guaranteed by, the United States of America, which are non-cal1able prior to the respective Maturities of the Bonds, and may be United States Treasury Obligations such as the State and Local Government Series, and may be in book-entry form; m The term "Initial Bond" means the Bond authorized to be issued pursuant to this Ordinance, which has the Registration Certificate executed by or on behalf of the Comptro11er of Public Accounts of the State of Texas endorsed thereon; (k) The term "Initial Date" means the date of the Bonds, as provided in Section 2 of this Ordinance; (1) The term "Ordinance" means this Ordinance; (m) The term "Outstanding", when used in this Ordinance with respect to Bonds means, as of the date of determination, all Bonds theretofore delivered and issued pursuant to this Ordinance, except: (i) Bonds theretofore cancelled by the Paying Agent/Registrar or delivered to the Paying Agent/Registrar for cancellation; (ii) Bonds for which payment has been duly provided by the City by the irrevocable deposit with the Paying Agent/Registrar of money in the amount necessary to fu11y pay the principal of, premium, if any, and interest thereon to maturity or redemption, as the case may be; provided that, if such Bonds are to be redeemed. notice thereof sha11 have been duly given in lO37f -15-
