6 Regular Meeting July 28, 1986 Page 4 Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. Ms. Kissler moved to amend the Ordin- ance to 10 Corporal positionsin the Police Department instead of 11 and Mayor Younger seconded the motion. On roll call, the follow- ing vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Younger, Kissler. NAY: Coddington, Guerra, Nicola. ABSTAIN: None. On roll call for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Younger, Kissler. NAY: Coddington, Guerra, Nicola. The Ordinance passed on first reading and will be scheduled for second and third readings (the Ordinance would have required five votes approval to be adopted on emergency). Mayor Younger introduced for conisderation approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 29-l52(c) OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES TO PROVIDE FOR NO PARKING TOW-AWAY ZONES ON r1ARY STREET BETWEEN BURLESON STREET AND LINDSEY STREET AND AT THE ENTRANCE TO CITY PARK, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Ms. Kissler moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on second reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN r1ARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE SAN ~~RCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY REPEALING THE CURRENT SECTION 21-39 (COMPENSATION); ADDING A NEW SECTION 21-39 WHICH PROVIDES FOR NEW RATES FOR SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT SERVICES; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Farr moved for approval of the Ordinance on second reading and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration reconsideration of ten Zoning Ordinances. Mr. Nicola requested reconsideration of Items 14G, l4H and 141. It was consensus of Council not to reconsider any other Zoning Ordinances. VERAMENDI LEAGUE IN THE CITY OF SAN r1ARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS AND LOCATED NORTH OF SPRING ROAD AND ON POST ROAD, FROM "M" (SINGLE, DUPLEX AND NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESSES DISTRICT) TO IIMF-3" (MULTL-FAMILY DISTRICT); AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
