Ms. Kissler moved to amend the Ordin- <br />ance to 10 Corporal positionsin the Police Department instead of <br />11 and Mayor Younger seconded the motion. On roll call, the follow- <br />ing vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Brown, Farr, Younger, Kissler. <br /> <br />NAY: Coddington, Guerra, Nicola. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br /> <br />On roll call for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency, the following <br />vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Brown, Farr, Younger, Kissler. <br /> <br />NAY: Coddington, Guerra, Nicola. <br /> <br />The Ordinance passed on first reading and will be scheduled for second <br />and third readings (the Ordinance would have required five votes approval <br />to be adopted on emergency). <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for conisderation approval of an Ordinance on <br />first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 29-l52(c) OF THE SAN <br />MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES TO PROVIDE FOR NO PARKING <br />TOW-AWAY ZONES ON r1ARY STREET BETWEEN BURLESON STREET <br />AND LINDSEY STREET AND AT THE ENTRANCE TO CITY PARK, <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Ms. Kissler moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. <br />Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on <br />second reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />r1ARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE SAN ~~RCOS <br />CODE OF ORDINANCES BY REPEALING THE CURRENT SECTION <br />21-39 (COMPENSATION); ADDING A NEW SECTION 21-39 WHICH <br />PROVIDES FOR NEW RATES FOR SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT SERVICES; <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Farr moved for approval of the Ordinance on second reading and Mr. <br />Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration reconsideration of ten <br />Zoning Ordinances. Mr. Nicola requested reconsideration of Items <br />14G, l4H and 141. It was consensus of Council not to reconsider any <br />other Zoning Ordinances.
