Attachment `A' <br />Scope of Services <br />Brown & Gay Engineers, Inc. (BGE) is pleased to submit this proposal to the City of San Marcos to <br />provide design and construction phase services for the relocation and adjustment of City of San Marcos <br />water and sewer mains in conflict with the TxDOT project at State Highway 123 (SH 123) and Wonder <br />World Drive. The 30% TxDOT plans for SH123 dated September 2013 form the basis of the following <br />scope of services. If acceptable, this proposal will form the basis for Work Authorization No. 1. <br />PROJECT BACKGROUND <br />The proposed TxDOT SH 123 improvement project provides a new overpass over Wonder World Drive <br />with improvements beginning approximately 500' south of De Zavalla Dr. and extending south <br />approximately 6,100 feet. The TxDOT project will expand the existing ROW from generally 130' to 245' <br />with the additional right -of -way acquired from the west side of SH 123. The TxDOT design plans are <br />currently at 30% complete. As a result of the roadway improvements, existing City of San Marcos water <br />and wastewater lines will need to be relocated and/or adjusted. Exhibit `A' provides a general project <br />map identifying the water and wastewater lines in conflict and depicts the anticipated relocations, <br />adjustments, and easements required. <br />PROJECT IMPROVEMENTS <br />The following lists the water and wastewater lines in conflict with the anticipated relocations /adjustments <br />required. <br />Waterlines (Approximately 3,230 if of new water line assumed) <br />o SH 123 Station 60 +90 (Crossing): 110 if of existing 12" waterline — encasement may <br />need to be extended. <br />• SH 123 Station 84 +90 (Crossing): 350 if of existing 12" waterline and 220 if of 18" steel <br />encasement in ROW - waterline may need to be adjusted to avoid conflict with the <br />proposed bridge piers and encasement may need to be extended. <br />• SH 123 Station 84 +90 to 112 +50: 29760 if of 12" waterline along west side of SH 123 in <br />existing 25' easement - will need to be relocated in a proposed 25' water /wastewater <br />easement. <br />• SH 123 Station 94 +10 (Crossing): 150 if of existing 16" waterline & 30" steel <br />encasement in proposed ROW — waterline and associated encasement will need to be <br />extended approximately 100 if to reconnect with the relocated 12" waterline. <br />Wastewater lines (Approximately 4,680 if of new 18" wastewater force main assumed) <br />• SH 123 Station 61 +90 (Crossing): 400 if of 12" wastewater line and 400 if of 18" <br />recycle water line — encasement may need to be extended. <br />• SH 123 Station 62 +00 to 68 +30: 630 if of 24" wastewater gravity main along west side <br />of SH 123 in existing 25' easement — relocation NOT INCLUDED. <br />• SH 123 Station 68 +30 to 113 +50: 4,5201f of 18" wastewater force main along west side <br />of SH 123 in existing 25' easement - will need to be relocated in a proposed 25' <br />water /wastewater easement. <br />PROJECT TEAM <br />The Project team was assembled to provide the required expertise for this project. The following lists the <br />members of the project team and their associated task responsibilities. <br />Brown & Gay Engineers, Inc.
