Attachment `A' <br />Scope of Services <br />• Halff & Associates - Services Provided: SUE <br />• MWM Design Group - Services Provided: Field Survey, Easement Documentation <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />The following scope of services was developed from an Engineering Scope of Service Checklist provided <br />to BGE by the City of San Marcos on September 16`x', 2013. This checklist defined task items for Design, <br />Bid, Construction, and Record Drawing phases. <br />TASK I Preliminary Phase (30 %) <br />a. Meetings <br />i. Project Meetings: Attendance of one progress meeting at City offices <br />ii. Public Meetings: NOT INCLUDED <br />iii. Utility Coordination Meeting(s): Attendance of one utility coordination meeting <br />b. Data Collection / Review: <br />i. Review Reports /Studies/Drawings — Includes review of existing TxDOT SH 123 plans, <br />record drawings, utility files, and base CADD files. <br />ii. Site Visit(s): Attend one site visit with City Project Manager. <br />iii. StaffMeeting(s): Correspondence with City Staff to obtain project background information. <br />c. Field Investigations (Above & Beyond TxDOT) <br />i. Topographic Surveying (Above & Beyond TxDOT) (Reference MWM scope in Exhibit `C') <br />ii. Identify all utilities in field, on poles, etc. (One Call_) — NOT INCLUDED <br />iii. Tree Survey — (Reference MWM scope in Exhibit `C') <br />iv. Subsurface Utility Locate — Included in Supplemental Services (Reference Task VI below) <br />v. Geotechnical — NOT INCLUDED — Project will use TxDOT Geotechnical Data Report. <br />vi. Geological — NOT INCLUDED <br />vii. Environmental — NOT INCLUDED (Only if Joint Bid) <br />viii. Archeological — NOT INCLUDED (Only if Joint Bid) <br />d. Pipelines <br />i. Determine Alignment(s) - Includes preparation of overall W &WW plan showing alignments, <br />borings, and associated appurtenances (fire hydrants, valves, etc.). W &WW plan sheets to <br />include plan view only at this preliminary stage. <br />ii. Preliminary Hydraulics/Modeling - NOT INCLUDED <br />iii. Other — NOT INCLUDED <br />e. Develop Construction Cost Estimates <br />i. Prepare preliminary construction estimate with a margin of error of ±25 %. <br />ii. The opinion of construction costs shall be based on materials and labor process prevailing at <br />the time of the preparation without consideration of inflationary increases in costs and will be <br />indexed to the Engineering News Record (ENR) Construction Cost Index. <br />j.
