If <br />industry has obtained these services by the effective date of <br />ordinance they shal~ have 180 days to have this p~an approved. <br />approvals shall be in writing. <br /> <br />Procedure: <br /> <br />the <br />the <br />this <br />A~l <br /> <br />New Industries <br /> <br />A new industry covered in the policy above that wishes to <br />construct its facility in the water and wastewater service <br />area of San Marcos sha~l present to the Director a Spi~l <br />Prevention and Control Plan and have it approved in writing <br />prior to obtaining water and wastewater service. This <br />includes water service to the construction site. The <br />Director shal~ submit to the Supervisor of Utilities written <br />approval of the p~an, and the customer may then purchase <br />water and wastewater service connections. The Plan shall <br />contain information on: <br /> <br />4 ) <br /> <br />1) <br />2 ) <br /> <br />The storage and use of the po~lutants including <br />location and quantities¡ <br />The use of the po~lutants e.g. integral ingredient, <br />catalyst, cleansing solvent, water treatment <br />regenerant, etc.¡ <br />The pollutant~s toxic effects on the treatment system <br />and humans, and how to treat, recover, and/or handle <br />the pollutant¡ <br />How the wastewater collection system will be protected <br />from the entry of the pollutant if it is spilled. (e.g. <br />segregated storage areas, segregated waste collection <br />systems, adequate pretreatment, spi~l containment <br />areas, etc.)¡ <br />The notification of spill pro~edure both within and <br />without the industry; <br />Inspection of storage facilities and/or automatic a~arm <br />systems including calibration if such devices are <br />required¡ <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />5 ) <br />6) <br /> <br />-15- <br />
