The <br />Director may further restrict the discharges of those wastes <br />which contain these elements to a definite limit expressed <br />in the units of "pounds per day" to prevent the employment <br />of dilution of such pollutants in order to meet the <br />concentration limits of the ordinance. <br /> <br />Cyanides <br />MG/L) . <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />excess of two milligrams per liter as CN <br /> <br />(2.0 <br /> <br />Phenols or other substances in such concentrations as to <br />produce odor or taste in the waters receiving wastewater <br />treatment plant effluent, where used as drinking water by <br />other people. <br /> <br />Phosphorous in excess of fifteen milligrams per liter (15 <br />MG/L) as phosphorous or phosphates in excess of forty-six <br />milligrams per liter (46 MG/L) as PO4. <br /> <br />Sulfates at a concentration that will increase the <br />concentration at the treatment plant influent to fifty <br />milligrams per liter (50 MG/L) or higher. <br /> <br />Fluorides in excess of five milligrams per liter (5.0 MG/L). <br /> <br />Any herbicides, pesticides, fungicides such as, but not <br />limited to chlordane, heptachlor, heptachlorexpoxide, <br />aldrin, dieldrin, dichlorodiphenyl trichloroethane (DDT), <br />dichlorodiphenyl dichloroethane (DDE), rothane (DPD), or any <br />toxic, poisonous, or other substance that would injure or <br />interfere with the wastewater treatment process or <br />constitute a hazard to human or animal plant life, including <br />aquatic organisms, or create any hazards in the waters <br />receiving the wastewater treatment plant effluent. <br /> <br />Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) in excess of 0.000002 milli- <br />grams per liter (MG/L). <br /> <br />Waste containing radioactive materials in concentrations <br />greater than allowable by current regulations of the Texas <br />Department of Health or other appropriate governmental unit <br />or agency. <br /> <br />Any of the following: <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />Solids or viscuous pollutants in amounts which will <br />cause obstruction to the flow in the collection system <br />and/or the treatment plant resulting in interference; <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />Any pollutant, including oxygen demanding pollutants <br />(BOD, COD, etc.) released in a discharge at a flow rate <br />and/or pollutant concentration which will cause inter- <br />ferences with the treatment plant and/or collection <br />system; <br /> <br />-7- <br />
